Leeds United and Brentford battle it out on Sunday afternoon after both sides got their Premier League campaigns off to the perfect start last weekend.
Daniel Farke’s side were tipped by many to go down last season after their promotion from the Championship in 2025, however, Leeds ended up finishing 14th and eight points off the relegation zone.
Leeds will be hoping to build on that finish this season and they got off to the perfect start last Saturday as Farke’s men beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 with Anton Stach netting the winner in the 88th minute.
While Leeds, who beat Forest again in the Carabao Cup second round on Tuesday night, are aiming to get closer to the top half, Sunday’s opponents Brentford will be hoping to battle for the European spots once again.
Keith Andrews’s side, who hammered Tottenham 3-0 in their Premier League opener last Saturday, finished ninth last campaign and they missed out on European football based on goal difference.
The Bees beat Birmingham City 6-1 in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday and they’ll be hoping to snatch a Europa League or Europa Conference League spot this time out as Brentford look to play in Europe for the first time in their history.
