Every level in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comes with Red Bricks.
These secrets take some effort to find, but unlocking them all is a must if you’re trying to 100% the game.
But is it worth unlocking them if you’re not going for full completion? Here’s a quick explainer of what Red Bricks do in LOTDK and how to use them.
What do Red Bricks do in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight?
In previous LEGO games, Red Bricks unlocked modifiers that gave you big buffs like extra studs and one-hit kills.
Unfortunately, if you were hoping for some overpowered abilities, that’s not how they work in LOTDK.
Instead, Red Bricks unlock new colour palettes that you can equip to any character’s suit and all vehicles.
Still, it’s a nice way to add a bit of extra flair to your characters, if you’re all about the aesthetics.
How to use Red Bricks in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
To equip a Red Brick, you first need to press Options to open up the map, and then press R1/RB to tab over to the Characters menu.
Hover over the character you want to customise and press Square/X to open the Suits menu, or Triangle/Y to open the Vehicles menu.
Whichever menu you open, press Square/X again to open up the Red Brick menu. From here, you can browse your unlocked Red Brick modifiers and simply press X/A to equip them.
