Desperate hunt launched for Brit who vanished on holiday | UK | News

The family of a missing British man who disappeared after leaving his holiday home in Spain have appealed for him to get in touch as concerns grow for his safety. Paul Daniel Strange, 70, vanished on Thursday the same day he was due to start the long drive back in his van from the fishing and tourist town of Palomares in Almeria to Essex where he lives. The retired builder and locksmith, from Leigh-on-Sea, had been staying at a friend’s apartment. And today his worried loved ones revealed police had begun a search for the pensioner as the mystery of his whereabouts deepened and they said a neighbour had seen him leaving the property – but a friend who then let himself in after Paul went missing found belongings of his including a computer and clothes inside. Father-of-three Mr Strange’s son, also called Paul, said: “We’re obviously extremely worried and have already contacted police in Essex who have been in touch with Interpol and as we understand it, spoken to Spanish police so they can …

Frantic search for Brit missing in Tenerife after early-morning walk | UK | News

A BRITISH holidaymaker has gone missing in Tenerife hours after flying to the island with his wife and going out for an early-morning walk. His disappearance has been reported to police and his family are said to be very “worried” saying it is totally out of character for him. The missing man, identified so far only by his first name of Michael, is in his early sixties and was staying in an apartment in the tourist resort of Los Cristianos in the south of Tenerife. A Facebook group dedicated to giving assistance for people reported as missing in Tenerife said last night in a message in English and Spanish about the disappearance: “Missing in Los Cristianos in an all-blue outfit. “Michael is in his early sixties and had gone out for an early morning walk today, Sunday 15th March at around 8am. Meet Sienna Spiro, a 20-year-old Brit with ‘the voice of a generation’

Four hours before Sienna Spiro is due to launch her first U.S. headlining tour, the 20-year-old singer and songwriter from London sits upstairs in the Troubadour’s empty balcony, peering down as several crew members wheel a grand piano onstage. “The fact that I’m 11-and-a-half hours from home and that this room is gonna be filled with people that have never met me and that I’ve never seen before — that’s just crazy,” she says. “I’m kind of scared.” The song that brought Spiro to West Hollywood this past Tuesday is “Die on This Hill,” a showstopping pop-soul ballad about staying in a toxic relationship — “I’ll take my pride, stand here for you,” she sings, “I’m not blind, just seeing it through” — that’s been streamed more than 300 million times on YouTube and Spotify since it came out in October. Built around tolling piano chords and Spiro’s titanic vocal, the song hit No. 9 in the U.K. and broke into the Top 20 of Billboard’s Hot 100; last month, Spiro — whose famous admirers …

Kelly Osbourne Slams Comments About Her Brit Awards Appearance

Kelly Osbourne has responded to the “cruel” comments about her appearance in the wake of this year’s Brit Awards. On Saturday night, Kelly and her mum Sharon Osbourne delivered a speech at the Brits in Manchester, where her late dad Ozzy Osbourne received a posthumous Lifetime Achievement prize. However, after the event, the TV personality was forced to issue a statement in response to a wave of unkind comments about her appearance. “There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something,” she began, writing on her Instagram story. “Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love the most. “None of it proves strength; it only reveals a profound absence of compassion and character.” Kelly – who has been vocal about her issues with body image throughout her time in the public eye, beginning with her time on The Osbournes as a teenager – pointed out that she is “currently going through the hardest …
