Celine Dion has announced her first series of full-length concerts since being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome (SPS). The French-Canadian singer revealed she had the rare and incurable disease in 2022 and was forced to cancel a world tour. She made an emotional comeback at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics in 2024. The upcoming concert series will also take place in the French capital and will be her first in almost six years. The five-time Grammy winner has been taking time out of the spotlight in the last few years, since being diagnosed with the neurological disorder stiff-person syndrome, which has dramatically affected her ability to sing. The 57-year-old is reported to be preparing a twice-weekly residency this September and October at Paris La Défense Arena. The French-Canadian newspaper La Presse broke the news Sunday, and by Monday posters had gone up around the French capital displaying the titles of various Dion songs including “Pour que tu m’aimes encore” and “Power of Love.” The singer has not yet officially commented on the reports. The Independent has approached her representatives for confirmation. Dion, who is the best-selling Canadian musician of all time, last headlined a show in Newark, New Jersey on March 8, 2020. The Canadian hitmaker sent fans wild with a series of swimsuit-clad photos she shared on Instagram, showing herself on a luxury yacht.  The post featured throwbacks from 2008 when Celine was at sea, soaking up the sunshine as she posed in a blue one-piece with the sun pouring down on her  Celine, 57, captioned the dreamy post: “Outfits I can’t wait to wear again… Who else is excited for summer?” She added the year and location of the photos: “Gérard Schachmes (2008 – Cape Town),” she wrote.  Fans commented: “Oh my,” remarking on her tanned and toned physique and lush surroundings.
