Why Whimsical Heists Are Taking Over Your Feed

Why Whimsical Heists Are Taking Over Your Feed

March, 2026: They (allegedly) stole your (luxury designer) wallet in El Segundo Is the Bling Ring alive and well in the LA country suburb of El Segundo? While that crew of teen thieves is out of the game, they’ve spawned their fair share of imitators. Suspects arrested last month in Southern California allegedly lifted at least $6 million in luxury goods, including “over 100 designer handbags (Hermès Birkin, Louis Vuitton, Chanel), 22 high-end timepieces (Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Rolex), gold coins, jewelry, 20 firearms, and over $800,000 in cash,” El Segundo police say via statement. In addition to the bags and watches, police say they found collectable cards and firearms in his possession, photos of which the agency has shared. The alleged thieves were tracked to a home in Temecula following a January 10 burglary in which $600,000 worth of “designer handbags and jewelry” went missing. Police are currently seeking other victims of what they say is “an organized residential burglary crew operating across multiple jurisdictions,” including LA and San Diego counties. If you’re a …

Traditional vegan cheese substitutes often rely on solid fats such as coconut or palm oil to achieve their desired “sliceable, meltable” texture. However, this typically results in a high saturated fat content. Researchers at Heriot-Watt University (HWU) have now pioneered a method using home-grown vegetable oils, including rapeseed and sunflower, as a sustainable alternative. This innovation aims to create a product that is both healthier for consumers and more sustainable for the planet. Professor Stephen Euston, who is leading the team, said: “I think it’s fair to say that when most people try vegan cheese for the first time, they don’t wax lyrical. “The main reason for that is probably to do with the lack of protein. “Normal cheese is mostly protein, whereas vegan …

Raw Farm of Fresno, California, said Thursday it is voluntarily recalling more than a half-dozen varieties of its cheddar cheese made from raw milk. The recalled batches, pictured on the FDA recall notice, carry expiration dates spanning from May 2026 to September 2026. They were sold nationwide, according to the FDA alert. The company announced the recall after health authorities launched an investigation into an ongoing outbreak of E. coli, which was first announced on March 15. Interest in and sales of raw milk have been rising in recent years, fueled by social media and growing support from the Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Make America Healthy Again movement. Raw milk has not been pasteurized, which kills germs …

Roast cauliflower, Lancashire cheese and nutmeg tart

Roasting cauliflower intensifies its sweetness, so don’t opt to steam or boil instead. This is great for spring – it’s the spinach – and even those who aren’t much into vegetables love it. If you can’t get Lancashire cheese, which is creamy and mild, use a mild Cheddar cheese, grated, or a mild goat’s cheese, crumbled. Requires 1 hour refrigerating time and 15 minutes cooling time Source link

Mom Conducts Mac And Cheese Conspiracy Experiment With Concerning Results

Mom Conducts Mac And Cheese Conspiracy Experiment With Concerning Results

A mom and content creator decided to put the idea that we’re all paying more money for less food to the test on TikTok, and the results say a lot about the state our economy is in. Like all packaged foods that you have to cook to eat, mac and cheese boxes have a small line on the label that says just how much food you can expect to have after cooking. It’s the kind of thing that no one pays much attention to. This mom decided to put it to the test in an impromptu experiment, though, and she found that food manufacturers aren’t being as honest with us as we would hope. A mom prepared a box of mac and cheese that was supposed to make three cups, but it didn’t quite live up to that expectation. “I’ve had a theory for a while now that food companies are ripping us off so bad by lying about the amount of servings and serving sizes in groceries,” she said at the beginning of her …

Get the Well Enough newsletter with Harry Bullmore for tips on living a healthier, happier and longer life Get the Well Enough email with Harry Bullmore Get the Well Enough email with Harry Bullmore Comedian Diane Morgan, known for her distinctive deadpan humour, has revealed a surprising personal transformation, embracing a vegan lifestyle that has even altered her perception of cheese – a former culinary love now described as smelling “like socks”. The 50-year-old, currently starring in Last One Laughing on Prime Video, made the switch last January. While she was “never a big milk drinker anyway”, preferring oat milk, cheese proved a significant hurdle. “I couldn’t find a decent vegan cheese that I liked – it all tasted like glue sticks – so I just went cold turkey on it,” she explained. The shift in perception was stark: “Then, after four weeks, my brain just went, ‘Oh, I don’t like cheese anymore, it smells like socks’. So now I don’t crave it at all.” Morgan, who resides in central London, advocates for everyone to …

The Healthiest Cheese, According To A Dietitian

The Healthiest Cheese, According To A Dietitian

Dietitian comment provided by registered dietitian Brookell White, Food Data Curator at MyFitnessPal. In recent weeks, we’ve asked dietitians to share the healthiest type of egg, rank the best breads, and tell us once and for all whether wholemeal pasta is always better than plain. And this week, we’re speaking to registered dietitian Brookwell White about cheese. Is it ever good for us? If so, what are the best kinds? And how do the pros make cheese healthier? Is cheese good for us? “Cheese can absolutely be part of a balanced diet and offers several nutritional benefits. It’s an excellent source of high-quality protein and rich in calcium, which supports bone health,” White told us. Calcium aside, its vitamin K content also helps to support your bones. It contains vitamin B12, riboflavin, zinc, vitamin A, and phosphorus, too – “all nutrients that play vital roles in overall health”. “There’s even an interesting benefit for dental health: eating cheese can increase pH levels in your mouth, leading to lower acid levels and less enamel breakdown, whilst …
