After months of delays, missed delivery windows, and increasingly impatient reservation holders, Rivian spinout ALSO is finally putting its electric bikes into the hands of actual customers. Early Launch Edition deliveries of the US $4,500 ALSO TM-B e-bikes have begun showing up, with a few owners posting their first impressions and real-world riding results on social media. And so far, the reports seem largely positive – though the first range numbers also offer a useful reality check on some of the bike’s loftier claims. For those who haven’t been following the saga, ALSO’s TM-B is one of the more unusual new electric bikes to hit the market in years. The company was spun out of Rivian and brought plenty of that EV-style thinking with it, resulting in a bike that looks and operates quite differently from the sea of relatively conventional e-bikes already on the market. The TM-B uses ALSO’s proprietary DreamRide drive system, combining a pedal-by-wire setup with a powerful motor. Most of the money came from people and businesses that understated their income. But 9% came from people who didn’t file a tax return at all, and efforts to track them down have been slow-moving as the Internal Revenue Services’ case log remains backed up. Key facts: The IRS’ backlog of cases increased when its office buildings closed during the Covid-19 pandemic, but the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 appropriated supplemental funding to help resolve the delays. However, Congress reduced that funding in 2025, and the Trump administration laid off 28% of the IRS’ workforce. As a result, “the IRS no longer has the resources to pursue all delinquent filers,” according to the inspector general. The inspector general found that nearly 39,000 people with incomes of $400,000 or more were notified in early 2024 that they had not filed a tax return. As of December …

Heathrow’s third runway has been delayed for four years until 2039 (Image: Getty) Heathrow airport’s third runway is to be delayed by four years, meaning it will not be up and running until 2039 with Rachel Reeves’ £49billion plan deemed as “unrealistic”. Airport bosses at the UK’s busiest airport have told ministers the current 2035 deadline is not possible, which was set by the former Chancellor. Ms Reeves threw her support behind the third runway plans last year, insisting that it would be finished by 2035 eventhough it was considered an ambitious goal at the time. Reeves used a major speech on infrastructure to announce the Government would be supporting the third runway project as a means of growing the economy, and also said it would create 100,000 jobs. Heathrow, who handled a record breaking 84.5 million passengers in 2025, sees this deadline as increasingly difficult to deliver without additional steps to simplify the planning process. George Lucas has spent his career doing things people told him could not be done. Building his own museum may have been the hardest. “This has been a long haul,” the 82-year-old filmmaker said Wednesday during a surprise appearance at a press preview of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles. “Seventeen years between getting kicked out of cities and trying to get this built, which has in itself been eight years. “Part of the problem is I’m a contrarian,” Lucas continued. “I don’t like to do things that people think can be done. I’m fascinated by doing things that people say can’t be done. And even when you do it, they say, ‘Well, that’s not any good. You can’t do that.’” Then came his blunt assessment of the undertaking: “I’m used to doing the impossible. Gusts reached around 99 mph in Gary, comparable to a Category 2 hurricane.  The violent weather toppled trees onto lines, snapped hundreds of poles, and damaged transmission structures and substations.
