Well, there we have it, the night has passed, and it’s a new dawn in EastEnders. The BBC One soap ended its event week titled ‘The Night That Changes Everything’ with some key events occurring for multiple major characters. Denise Fox (Diane Parish) discovered she had blood cancer. An intoxicated Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) faces prison time as Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) fears for her son’s life. You should never upstage a bride and groom at their wedding – and it’s safe to say that Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) was thoroughly unimpressed by Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) proposal at her wedding to Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw). The EastEnders love rat decided that, with everyone looking down their noses on his relationship to Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), he should propose and prove his commitment. It’s safe to say that Cindy was stunned. They’ve only been together for a matter of weeks, and she wasn’t ready to tie the knot. The Walford community crowded around Max to reprimand him, and he tried to assure them that it was just a joke and he didn’t mean it. Cindy was deeply offended when she realised that the ring he’d used to propose with had been found on a table, and rushed off to rejoin the party. Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) stands to lose everything in EastEnders, after accidentally knocking over Jordan Fox (Jahsaiah Williams) with his car. He was desperate to guide drunken mum Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) away from Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) and Ross Marshall’s (Alex Walkinshaw) wedding, unaware that the youngster was roaming the streets, having grown tired of the party. His mum Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) ordered him to return to the marquee, and screamed out into the night after finding him unconscious on the floor. Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) raced over, and after finding a traffic cone marked with Ian’s name to reserve the parking spot, instructed his colleagues to pay him a visit. Peter Beale (Thomas Law) called an ambulance and was able to confirm that Jordan was still breathing, while Jack reached out to partner Denise Fox (Diane Parish) to inform her what was unfolding. ‘The Night That Changes Everything’ has kicked off in EastEnders, with a particularly traumatic instalment for Denise Fox (Diane Parish). There was also drama for Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), but thus far, he has absolutely no idea. It was confirmed last month that Denise would be diagnosed with blood cancer. The storyline is set to play out throughout the remainder of the year and into 2027, exploring the impact the illness will have on not only her, but those around her. Today’s action picked up from the moment she received her diagnosis – acute myeloid leukaemia – a particularly aggressive form of cancer which requires an immediate treatment. Lacey Turner is reportedly set to take part in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing – just months after her soap exit. The actress, who plays Stacey Slater in EastEnders, is currently on a temporary break from the BBC soap to spend time with her family. And the star is now looking to try her hand at something new before she reprises her iconic role, according to The Sun. Albert Square’s revolving door is back in business, as four EastEnders characters have left during yet another dramatic episode. It’s been a busy old week in Walford, with Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) returning after two years to tell ex-fiancé Zack Hudson (James Farrar) that she had moved on with a new fella. This spurred him on to open his heart to Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) once again, though she reassured him that her commitment was towards husband-to-be Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw). Take a deep breath, EastEnders fans. Two legendary characters have departed Albert Square, as another beloved local arrived home. Today’s episode kicked off with Max Branning’s (Jake Wood) suspicions about Mark Fowler (Stephen Aaron-Sipple) being confirmed. The keys that Mark had dropped in the car lot while he was trying to rob the safe were a perfect match for the Mitchell residence’s kitchen door, meaning that he was surely the man responsible for the dealership’s recent vehicle thefts.
