The strict royal rules that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Louis are exempt from

The rules that govern royal life are well-known and have been passed down through the generations. From heirs not flying together to royals being discouraged from signing autographs, there is no shortage of traditions and customs for members of the House of Windsor to remember. Things have relaxed in more recent years, however, and, on occasion, some of the younger members of the family – including Prince William and Prince Kate’s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – have been made exempt from quite a few royal rules.  © UK Press via Getty ImagesZara Tindall was allowed to attend Royal Ascot when she was 8 No children at Royal Ascot For years, there was a strict ban on under-18s attending Royal Ascot. The late Queen Elizabeth broke this rule for her granddaughter Zara Tindall (then Zara Phillips) by following her to attend when she was just eight years old in 1989. Like both her grandmother and her mother, Princess Anne, Zara showed a love of all things equestrian from a young age and so …

Pregnant women, parents of young children, veterans with disabilities and several other groups will be exempt from Medicaid’s new work requirements, the Trump administration said Monday. The guidance was released by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, meeting a June 1 deadline under President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” to explain how states should carry out the work rules. Beginning Jan. 1, many adults on Medicaid will need to work, attend school or volunteer for at least 80 hours a month to keep their coverage. The guidance also allows exemptions for people who are “medically frail” or have conditions that significantly limit their ability to work, such as cancer or substance use disorder. The guidance doesn’t include an exemption for people who are homeless. States will have discretion to determine which medical conditions qualify for exemptions. Nebraska, which implemented Medicaid work requirements this year, listed diagnoses that would qualify a person as medically frail in a nearly 300-page list …

Disney asks FCC to classify ‘The View’ as exempt from equal time rule

Disney is asking the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to consider whether “The View” is exempt from a statutory “equal time” requirement that applies to broadcast shows. Mark Schiefelbein/AP hide caption toggle caption Mark Schiefelbein/AP WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is suspending a requirement that foreign visitors from countries that have qualified for the World Cup and have bought tickets for the soccer tournament pay as much as $15,000 in bonds to enter the United States, the State Department said Wednesday. The department imposed the bond requirement last year for countries that it said had high rates of people overstaying their visas and other security issues as part of the Republican administration’s broader crackdown on immigration. Travelers to the United States from 50 countries are required to pay the new bond, and five of those countries have qualified for the World Cup — Algeria, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Tunisia. Citizens from those five countries who have purchased tickets from FIFA are now exempt from the visa bond requirement. World Cup team players, coaches …

Spanberger Signs Unconstitutional Bill To Strip Confederacy-Linked Groups Of Tax Exempt Status

Spanberger Signs Unconstitutional Bill To Strip Confederacy-Linked Groups Of Tax Exempt Status

Authored by Jonathan Turley, There has been growing criticism (and falling poll numbers) of Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger after she ran as a moderate and then immediately veered to the far left after her election.  Once in power, Spanberger and the Democrats unleashed a slew of tax increases, moved to eliminate all but one Republican district in the purple state, passed an array of anti-gun laws, and enacted other controversial measures. One of these measures is a clearly unconstitutional effort to strip pro-Confederate groups of their tax exemption. This week, Spanberger signed HB167, the law that eliminated the tax exemption for various confederacy-linked groups, including the Virginia Division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the General Organization of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Confederate Memorial Literary Society, the Stonewall Jackson Memorial, Incorporated, the Virginia Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the J.E.B. Stuart Birthplace Preservation Trust, Inc. Notably, as soon as they came into power, Democrats also passed House Bill 1377 to move against the Virginia Military Institute, including appointing a task …

FDA Says Many Fitness Wearables, AI Tools Exempt From Regulation

FDA Says Many Fitness Wearables, AI Tools Exempt From Regulation

The Food and Drug Administration on Jan. 6 clarified that it will not regulate some artificial intelligence (AI) tools and wearables. In a guidance document, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said tools used to help make clinical decisions are sometimes exempt from FDA oversight, such as those not intended to analyze medical images. In a second document, the FDA said it does not regulate “low risk products that promote a healthy lifestyle,” including “low risk general wellness products” such as exercise equipment and software programs. The agency listed as examples products that track and record a person’s sleep, work, and exercise and products that make claims about weight management and physical fitness. “For a lot of the decision support out there, we need to get out of the way as a regulator,” FDA Commissioner Marty Makary said in a video. “We have a clear lane for medical-grade products. But otherwise, we need to adapt with the times, and be proactive with guidance, so that companies and developers are not left confused about what they should be …
