Vin Diesel Breaks Into Tears Watching Paul Walker In ‘Fast & Furious’ Screening

Vin Diesel Breaks Into Tears Watching Paul Walker In ‘Fast & Furious’ Screening

The screening played to an energetic crowd, who applauded every time a familiar face would appear onscreen. But as the story went on, the appearance of Walker added an emotional weight to the experience. Walker, who died at the age of 40 in a car crash, had such a presence on the screen, and his career was cut short far too soon. When the credits rolled, Diesel didn’t take his eyes off the screen. He was pensive and still. When the lights finally came up, Diesel was, for once, stunned into silence. He was overcome with emotion, and stood silently for a long moment in time. “I can’t even believe you want to see me fucking cry,” he said. He hugged his castmates, and Rodriguez also had tears streaming down her face. “I can’t see any of you after I see my brother. It was on the script at first that this blonde haired, blue eyed guy would be a brother to me,” he said of Walker. “After every premiere, he’d sit with me – …

4 Fast & Furious TV shows confirmed by Vin Diesel in major expansion

Four TV shows set in the Fast and Furious universe are in development at Peacock, franchise star Vin Diesel has announced. The long-running movie franchise, which began in 2001 with The Fast and the Furious, is set to come to an end with the upcoming 12th instalment, Fast Forever, which is slated to be released in 2028. But while the Fast and Furious saga is ending on the big screen, it’ll soon be getting the TV treatment, according to Diesel. Speaking during NBCUniversal’s Upfronts presentation in New York City on Monday (11 May), the actor, who has played Dominic Toretto in each Fast and Furious movie, said: “For the last decade, we have realised that the fans have wanted more.” He continued: “They wanted us to expand the legacy characters, their stories. And for the last decade, the desire has been for us to enter the TV space that Fallon has mastered.” He added: “And I had to wait till it was right… It became right when Donna Langley started to oversee it all, because …

Residents Furious After Their Town Board Rejected an OpenAI Data Center, But a Billionaire Developer Forced It Through Anyway

Residents Furious After Their Town Board Rejected an OpenAI Data Center, But a Billionaire Developer Forced It Through Anyway

Across the United States, the fight over data center construction has largely pitted stamp-happy municipal governments against their own residents. As these battles multiply, local officials are increasingly pressured to approve projects their constituents oppose, while more and more voters take their struggles to the ballot box. Residents in Saline Township, Michigan, however, thought they had avoided the drama after their township board and planning commission both voted to decline a 21 million square foot data center in their backyard. It was exactly what Saline’s 2,883-some residents wanted. Unfortunately for them, the data center developer soon sued the tiny township, Fortune reported, which was ultimately bullied into accepting the $16 billion development. Back in September, Saline’s planning commission rejected the request to rezone 575 acres of farmland for the data center, proposed by the company Related Digital, a subsidiary of a real estate conglomerate owned by billionaire Steven Roth (who’s been in the news lately for other reasons.) Two days later, Related Digital filed suit, alleging the township had practice “exclusionary zoning.” The local officials …

Scammers Furious That Their Fellow Criminals Are Using AI, Saying It’s Unethical

Scammers Furious That Their Fellow Criminals Are Using AI, Saying It’s Unethical

Sign up to see the future, today Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech The AI sloppification of the internet comes for us all, even the petty scammers and fraudsters doing business in the darker corners of the web. As a yet-to-be-peer-reviewed study found, old-world internet scammers are getting frustrated as their favorite cybercrime forums turn to generative AI, much the same way Amazon or Reddit have degraded their own sites with the tech — which, you have to admit, is pretty rich coming from a bunch of professional scammers. The study, first covered by Wired, found little evidence that AI tools are fundamentally reshaping the world of cybercrime, contradicting more alarmist warnings that the tools are fueling a novel epidemic of scam and fraud. At the upper echelons of the cybercrime world, large-scale criminal enterprises are largely using the tools for boring tasks like checking errors and probing Google for solutions to coding problems. Among smaller operations, however — scams run by low-skill cybercriminals, as the researchers characterize them — researchers …

Video Shows Woman Attacking Police With Swarm of Furious Bees

Sign up to see the future, today Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech Look, evictions are violent affairs. When the state sends armed officers to kick residents out of their homes on behalf of private banks, things are bound to get out of hand. Dispossessed tenants have reacted with every means at their disposal: enlisting community organizers, filing lawsuits, and occasionally even barricading themselves with guns. However, sheriff’s deputies carrying out one 2022 eviction really got stung — literally — when Massachusetts resident Rebecca Woods let loose a swarm of honey bees in order to stall the cops kicking an 80-year old man out of his home. “Hey, hey, hey, she has a truck full of bees,” one deputy can be heard saying in recently released video of the eviction. “What?” another deputy replies, baffled. “She’s opening the bees,” another voice can be heard warning. A Furious Stranger Called Out My Son In An Airport Bathroom. What Happened Next Horrified Me.

A Furious Stranger Called Out My Son In An Airport Bathroom. What Happened Next Horrified Me.

As my daughter and I stepped out of our respective stalls in the airport bathroom, I saw my son standing in the corner waiting for us, having come in after he had used the men’s room next door. He has a habit of eloping at airports, so I was relieved to see him. “Love,” I told him. “Thank you for coming in and waiting for us.” The three of us moved to the sink to wash our hands. That’s when things got weird. My son has high-functioning autism, what used to be called Asperger’s syndrome, now called autism spectrum disorder, level 1 support. When people look at him, they notice nothing different. When they hear him speak, they are often impressed at his verbal comprehension and articulation (indeed, his IQ is very high in this area). His challenges lay in perseverations (obsessions or ruminations), recognising social cues, and having spatial and environmental awareness. He received his diagnosis at age 7, in March 2020, days before the COVID shutdowns. Suddenly every resource in our small town …
