On Saturday, Mohammad Bagherzadeh, head of the Missing Persons Search Committee of Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff, stated that “Three Iranian pilots were captured alive by Qatari forces after the Su-24 fighter jets crashed during the March attacks.” He identified the captured pilots as Javad Salehi, Abdolmajid Dashtian, and Omran Behraveshian. via Associated Press Iran is urging the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to investigate the condition of the pilots. Patrick Troughton’s run as the Second Doctor was historic – but so much of it can’t be revisited due to many of his episodes still being missing. The beloved BBC sci-fi series famously still has 95 episodes missing from its 1960s run, after many early instalments were wiped or junked as part of archive practices between 1967 and 1978, when broadcasters routinely cleared programmes because of storage issues, material costs and rights limitations. 53 of the missing episodes are from Troughton’s era as the Second Doctor, which ran from 1966 to 1969 and saw him take over from William Hartnell after the very first regeneration. A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a missing person was discovered inside a property. Police launched a search to find the missing man on Friday evening (August 14) before his body was found around five hours later. Police rushed to the scene on George Street, in Barnsley, at around 10.15pm. The man, aged 62 and from Sheffield, was pronounced dead at the scene, and officers from South Yorkshire Police launched an investigation. It has since been confirmed that a man, 60, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. The police force has referred itself to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) as the man had previously been reported missing. Investigating officers have put up three cordons in the area, including one on the TransPennine trail. Separate scenes are in place on George Street as detectives continue to investigate the cirumstances surrounding the man’s death.
