Andrew lost his titles and honours last year and was forced to vacate his home in Windsor earlier this year, right after the US Department of Justice released a new batch of the Epstein files, many of which mentioned him. On his birthday, February 19, he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office but was released under investigation after 11 hours. Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing.

Now The Telegraph has cited new sources close to Andrew about his new life in Norfolk, who claimed that the former prince cannot really do anything there until the investigation against him is completed. They made a three-word admission about his current life, which they say he’s “living in limbo.”

They told the newspaper: “While Andrew remains under investigation after being arrested by Thames Valley Police seven months ago, he has effectively been living in limbo.

“Although there are no formal conditions which prevent him from travelling while this drags on, he cannot really stray far beyond his home. He cannot live his normal life as the police investigation goes on.

“In the meantime, Thames Valley Police seems to be no nearer being able to prove an allegation of misconduct in a public office, for which Andrew was detained back in February.”

Andrew has not surrendered his passport and could technically travel overseas; however, it is understood that officials have advised against it.

Meanwhile, sources dismissed claims that the duke was on holiday earlier in the summer in the South of France.
