Princess Anne left ‘roaring with laughter’ over adorable dog in royal moment you might have missed

Queen Camilla’s rescue pup, Moley, stole our hearts on Friday evening when she had a surprising starring role in the King’s birthday message to Sir David Attenborough. But there was another adorable royal moment that stole our hearts just hours before. Princess Anne had quite the interaction, which will have no doubt delighted royal fans when she attended the first garden party of the season earlier this week. © POOL/AFP via Getty ImagesVegas left Anne ‘roaring with laughter’ after she decided to ‘dig for truffles’ The Princess Royal, as well as King Charles, met two-year-old coker spaniel pooch Vegas, who serves as a hearing dog for the deaf. After greeting the royals by affectionately jumping up and licking their hands, Vegas was formally introduced by her owner, Kate Wilson, 52, from Horsham, West Sussex. Kate told the Princess, who is patron of Hearing Dogs for the Deaf charity,  that the cocker spaniel is her first hearing service dog. “And does she help you? That’s all working well?” Anne asked.”Oh, she really helps me,” Wilson agreed. “I …

The British royal family’s line of succession explained

The line of succession to the British throne isn’t static. It shifts with every royal baby birth and passing. When Queen Elizabeth II died in 2022, the order immediately changed. King Charles III automatically succeeded his mother, and everyone in line moved up a position, with the Prince of Wales becoming first in line to the throne.  It will be updated once again when Princess Eugenie welcomes her third child this year.  © Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty ImagesKing Charles ascended the throne on September 8, 2022 The line of succession As it currently stands, Prince William is next in line to the throne, followed by his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The King’s second son, Prince Harry, who is no longer a working member of the royal family, is fifth in line, with his kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in sixth and seventh place. His Majesty’s disgraced brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor sits eighth in line to the throne, followed by his firstborn Princess Beatrice and her two daughters, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi and Athena Mapelli …

The Duchess said: “I have seen people dancing and praising God and in tears over a simple operation that will change their lives. I’ve travelled the world with Orbis and seen what they do on board the Flying Eye Hospital, but also the trainings they do virtually and in hospitals as well. It’s a wonderful trickle effect.” Duchess Sophie speaking at the event Sophie is a huge advocate of eye health Source link

Princess Anne’s bizarre frozen aeroplane food she’s obsessed with

You might expect Princess Anne’s favourite food to be something like caviar or venison, but it appears that the Princess Royal has a much more down-to-earth favourite. Speaking on an edition of HELLO!’s A Right Royal Podcast, former royal pilot Graham Laurie revealed that Anne is more than happy to tuck into a family frozen favourite. After royal planes were upgraded, onboard staff could start serving food that had been brought in frozen, and Graham explained: “So we could take food from frozen, and at top of climate it was ready to serve just as you would in a normal airliner. The passenger was nearly always the Princess Royal. Because one of her patronships is Save the Children firm.” He continued: “We had to provide food for her, so we never left Benson without what I call the bottom line in catering. Those wonderful flat-tinned meat pies by Fray Bentos, and we’d do that we take tinned vegetables, tinned potatoes, the stewards would tart up a gravy. Add a few spices to it. And we’d …

Princess Anne’s ‘steely self-restraint’ she enforced with her children

Princess Anne’s ‘steely self-restraint’ she enforced with her children

Princess Anne has earned herself a few titles over the years, one being the hardest working royal and another, the most down-to-earth royal, so it was perhaps no surprise to find out she was teetotal and enjoyed a limited diet of basic foods.  The 75-year-old attended a whopping 478 royal engagements last year, increasing her workload from previous years. Her work ethic and habits are something she seemingly inherited from her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II and her late father, Prince Phillip.  Anne was the former monarch’s middle child, alongside Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, while King Charles was the eldest and Prince Edward was the youngest of the four royal children.  She shares a trait with her disgraced brother, the former prince Andrew, 66, in that both are teetotal, a tendency believed to have resulted from their late parents’ “self-restraint”.  “Again, though, both of them exercised a steely self-restraint. It was something which they passed on to all of their children, all of whom eat sparingly, while the middle two are also teetotal,” British journalist, author, and documentary filmmaker, …

Royals on ageing: King Charles’ ‘body doesn’t work’, Princess Anne’s ‘dinosaur’ confession & more

They may be royalty, but the likes of King Charles and Queen Camilla still feel the effects of ageing like the rest of us. While previous generations of royalty like the Queen Mother tried to hide signs of ageing, and avoided using mobility aids in public even in her nineties, in more recent times the royals have spoken more candidly about getting old – and some of the physical effects that come with it.  From joking about not being able to stand up to being a ‘dinosaur’ with technology, find out the relatable comments the royals have made about ageing… © Getty Images The King opened up to a patient during a hospital visit King Charles The King made a joke about ageing as he officially opened Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in the West Midlands in September 2025. The monarch visited one of the hospital’s acute elderly care wards, where he met 85-year-old patient Jacqueline Page, from Great Barr.  The pair shared a joke about their health, with Mrs Page telling the King she was “wearing …
