Dozens killed in suicide bombing targeting Pakistani passenger train

Dozens killed in suicide bombing targeting Pakistani passenger train

A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near a railway track as a passenger train passed through the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta on Sunday, killing at least 24 people and wounding more than 70 others, a senior official told AFP. The force of the explosion caused two of the train cars to overturn and catch fire, sending thick black smoke into the air, according to footage shared online. The attack happened in an area where security forces are usually stationed, badly damaging several nearby buildings and smashing more than a dozen vehicles parked along the road, according to witnesses and images circulating on social media. Doctors at local hospitals said they had received the wounded, with 20 in critical condition. Three security officials told the Associated Press the bodies were transported to hospitals following the attack. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to be able to speak to the media. The outlawed Baloch Liberation Army, or BLA, which demands independence from Pakistan’s central government, has claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement …

Authored by MN Gordon via dollarcollapse.com “A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.” – Will and Ariel Durant, The Story Of Civilization Enemy Within How does a superpower die? Does it come from the blinding kill shot of a hypersonic missile streaking through the sky? Or, perhaps, a rogue cyberattack that mortally destroys the national power grid? Will the end of America come with foreign tanks rolling through New York or a massive, coordinated amphibious attack on Los Angeles? These dramatic scenarios make for captivating conjecture. But they’re highly unlikely. If you look at the autopsy reports of the world’s greatest empires, the ultimate cause of death is rarely a sudden, overwhelming external blow. Long before the barbarians breached the gates of Rome, the Roman denarius had been systematically devalued into a glorified copper token to fund a bloated bureaucracy. This was characterized by widespread domestic corruption and endless military expansion. So, too, long before the British Empire reluctantly packed up its global flags, it realized the staggering …

Canada’s Assisted Suicide Program Could Include Children And The Mentally Ill

Canada’s MAID program is the subject of ongoing concern among anti-globalist movements across the western world.  The assisted suicide system kills around 15,000 or more Canadians each year and is quickly expanding to include more and more people who are not terminally ill.   Almost all assisted suicide programs are created by liberal governments and all of them are initially promoted as a way to “end the suffering” of people who are close to death anyway.  However, this is merely the first stage of the greater goal, which is to normalize the government sanctioned killing of almost anyone for any reason.  Keep in mind, the activists and politicians who constantly pontificate about the need for mass immigration into the west from the third world in order to solve population decline are the same people who support mass abortions and mass suicides.  They are also, for some reason, staunchly against the government execution of murderers.  It doesn’t make rational sense, until you realize these people are psychopathic. Canadian Conservatives are currently fighting for a freeze on expansion …

I Was Just 7 Years Old When A Prescription Medication Made Me Try To End My Life

My parents went through a nasty divorce when I was a kid, and I was depressed. I didn’t know what depression was, even when the court-assigned therapist expressed her concerns to my mother about it. I was only 6 years old when they diagnosed me and prescribed antidepressants. The truth is, I was a weird kid, largely in part due to the nasty divorce, but there were other, less horrible reasons, too. I preferred books to people. I liked making up games and stories to entertain myself more than watching TV or participating in group activities. I had few friends because my favorite things were reading and drawing, and I didn’t talk much because I was bullied by other kids and sometimes even teachers at school. I was just 7 years old when a prescription medication made me try to end my life Image courtesy of the author Even before my parents’ divorce, I had long-standing issues with sadness I discovered my penchant for moments of intense, seemingly incomprehensible despair when I was just about three years old. …

UK watchdog issues first-ever suicide forum fine – POLITICO

Campaigners have criticized Ofcom for not taking action sooner. The Molly Rose Foundation’s CEO Andy Burrows welcomed the fine but said the process “has taken an interminable amount of time.”   “Molly Rose Foundation submitted detailed evidence which showed scores of vulnerable young people remained at risk while Ofcom’s investigation dragged on. Further lives were lost during this period,” he said. Seven months ago the Molly Rose Foundation in conjunction with Families and Survivors to Prevent Online Suicide Harms published a report accusing both the government and the regulator of dragging their feet and warned that even if Ofcom sought to block U.K. access to the site, this would amount to little more than “regulatory whack-a-mole” in the absence of improved legislation.  An Ofcom spokesperson said: “We share the urgency about the extreme harms that sites such as this can cause, and understand the anger felt towards them by those who have been so personally affected. Today we’ve made clear that this provider has failed – and continues to fail – to comply with its duties. Our investigation into this forum was the first to be launched under the Online …

Purported Epstein suicide note unsealed by judge : NPR

The Department of Justice has released millions of documents and images from criminal investigations into Jeffrey Epstein since December, but his purported suicide note was sealed in an unrelated court case until this week. Jon Elswick/AP hide caption toggle caption Jon Elswick/AP A suicide note purportedly written by Jeffrey Epstein in prison has been publicly released, nearly seven years after Epstein’s former cellmate said he found it. District Judge Kenneth Karas unsealed the one-page note Wednesday in response to a legal petition from the New York Times, which reported on its existence last week. NPR has not independently verified the authenticity of the note. The five sentences on a sheet of lined paper read in part: “It is a treat to be able to choose one’s time to say goodbye. Watcha want me to do — Bust out cryin!! NO FUN — NOT WORTH IT!!” Nicholas Tartaglione has said he discovered the note while sharing a cell with Epstein at the now-closed Metropolitan Correctional Center. The two overlapped for about two weeks in July 2019 …

Jeffrey Epstein ‘Suicide Note’ Emerges

A federal judge on Wednesday unsealed a purported suicide note attributed to Jeffrey Epstein, written before his first reported incident in July 2019 and discovered by his then-cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione, tucked inside a graphic novel. The undated, unsigned document – released as part of Tartaglione’s unrelated criminal case docket – contains lines such as “They investigated me for month – found NOTHING!!!” and references to saying goodbye. It has been kept under seal for nearly seven years. “They investigated me for months. Found NOTHING!! It is a treat to be able to choose one’s time to say goodbye. Watcha want me to do- Bust out cryin!! NO FUN–NOT WORTH IT!!” The note’s release comes amid a flood of Epstein-related document dumps in 2025–2026, yet it does little to quiet the persistent, deeply unsettling questions about how Epstein actually died on August 10, 2019, inside the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in Manhattan. Official ruling: suicide by hanging. Public consensus, reinforced by every major new tranche of files: something about that story has never added up – and …

Purported Jeffrey Epstein suicide note echoed messages he sent earlier

WASHINGTON — A federal judge in New York unsealed a suicide note Wednesday purportedly written by Jeffrey Epstein in July 2019, before a failed suicide attempt that came weeks after he was taken into federal custody on sex trafficking charges. The disgraced financier ultimately died weeks later in the same New York City facility in what was ruled a suicide. Although the note’s authenticity has not been established, it contains an apparent reference to a line from a 1931 “Little Rascals” film that Epstein had used in at least two prior email messages, according to the trove of Epstein documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice this year in response to the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act. In the short handwritten note released Wednesday, Epstein allegedly wrote, “They investigated me for month — Found nuthing!!!” The note concludes, “Whatcha want me to do — Bust out cryin!! No Fun – Not Worth It!!” It was a phrase Epstein had used before. In a September 2016 email to his brother, Mark, he wrote, “whtchoo want me todo …
