Scooter Braun gave a rare interview in a sit down with The Free Press’ Second Thought podcast published on Thursday, where the music executive weighed in on a wide range of topics from the strength of Spencer Pratt’s mayoral run, to the monopoly allegations against Live Nation and Ticketmaster to the controversy from his now-infamous decision to purchase Taylor Swift’s masters when he bought Big Machine Records back in 2019. The Free Press’s Suzy Weiss started the interview by immediately asking if he’d be voting for Pratt, to which Braun said he doesn’t tell people who he votes for but called himself a moderate who votes both ways. The latest title from The Housemaid author Freida McFadden is heading to the big screen. Studiocanal is in early development on a feature adaptation of The Divorce after winning a competitive book option, the company announced Thursday. Studiocanal is fully financing the thriller movie that it is co-producing with Working Title. Centering on vengeance and survival, The Divorce is the forthcoming novel from McFadden and is set to hit shelves May 26 from Poisoned Pen Press, an imprint of Sourcebooks.  Ron Halpern and Joe Naftalin oversee the project for Studiocanal. The company’s label Studiocanal Stories, which is focused on literary adaptations, spearheaded the book option. Lionsgate released director Paul Feig’s The Housemaid in theaters late last year, with Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried leading the cast in an adaptation of McFadden’s 2022 novel. Sydney Sweeney is said to have been cut from the final version of The Devil Wears Prada 2. The actress, 28, filmed a cameo for the follow-up to the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, but her scene was removed due to what has been described as a creative decision, according to a report by Entertainment Weekly. The sequel, scheduled for release on 1 May, sees the return of Anne Hathaway as Andrea Sachs and Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestley, the editor-in-chief of the fictional Runway magazine – a character said to have been inspired by former Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Sydney’s involvement had been confirmed after she was seen arriving on set in August 2025, with her role described as a brief appearance playing herself. According to Entertainment Weekly, Sydney’s scene was positioned near the beginning of the film but was removed because “it didn’t work structurally”. Sydney Sweeney’s nude scenes in the new season of Euphoria were generating controversy before they’d even aired. In the latest episodes of the award-winning US drama, Sydney’s character Cassie has turned to modelling on OnlyFans, as a way of paying for the flowers in her upcoming wedding to Nate (played by recent Oscar nominee Jacob Elordi). Last week’s instalment saw Cassie posing in lingerie and dog accessories, which alarmed some viewers, as did a preview clip that included footage of the character posing in an “adult baby” outfit.
