Even if you’re not watching Euphoria, the chances are it won’t have passed you by that it recently returned for its third (and, quite probably, final) season after a four-year absence from our screens. In the new instalments, much has already been made in the media of the fact that several of the show’s central female characters have pivoted to different forms of sex work in the time since we last saw them, most notably Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie. The first two seasons of Euphoria delighted fashion fanatics with iconic vintage pieces and other Easter eggs. Newman-Thomas says fans can expect even more. When Sam Levinson walked onto the stage at the Euphoria season three premiere in Los Angeles, it had been more than four years since he’d spoken to an audience about the hit HBO show. A lot can happen in four years—and for Levinson and his cast, that’s an understatement. After making two seasons of the hit series that launched half a dozen careers, won several Emmys, and became a watercooler show for its edgy storytelling and boundary-pushing performances, Euphoria hit a wall. “The fact that we’re actually here and we’re able to pull this season off—that’s nothing short of a miracle,” Levinson said as he welcomed the crowd to the TCL Theater in Hollywood. Sydney Sweeney‘s forthcoming sequel to The Housemaid is putting down roots. Lionsgate announced Monday that director Paul Feig‘s The Housemaid’s Secret is set for wide theatrical release Dec. 17, 2027. The adaptation of Freida McFadden’s novel sees Sweeney reprise her role from last year’s hit thriller, while Kirsten Dunst joins the franchise. Michele Morrone also returns from the first movie to play Enzo. The Housemaid’s Secret centers on Millie (Sweeney), the lead of the initial film, who agrees to keep house for a woman she is never allowed to see. In a recent interview with The Times of London, Novak slammed Sydney Sweeney‘s casting as her in the upcoming film, following the Vertigo actress’ relationship with Sammy Davis Jr. in the 1950s. Colman Domingo is set to direct, marking his directorial debut.
