It will include the Proms debut of The Met Orchestra and the highly-anticipated return of the Los Angeles Philharmonic after nearly 25 years, while it will premiere new work from American composers Wynton Marsalis and Jessie Montgomery. The world’s biggest classical music festival will also see debut performances by the Spanish National Orchestra and the Mahler Academy Orchestra from Italy, along with the return of the Berlin, Munich and Oslo philharmonic orchestras. The Celebrity Apprentice first aired on the BBC as a two-part special for Christmas 2025. The show saw personalities including AJ Odudu, Judge Rinder and Angela Scanlon taking part, and was won by JLS star JB Gill and his teammates, with the winning money going to Children in Need. It was later announced that The Celebrity Apprentice would return for a full-length series in 2026, with filming currently underway on the show. The 81-year-old creator of the long-running sketch series made the comments Tuesday after a Los Angeles screening of his new documentary Lorne, directed by Morgan Neville. “I think in the face of totalitarian government, I don’t think comedy really does much good; I think the totalitarians win every single time,” Michaels argued. He clarified, however, that “there is something as a safety valve in a culture which comedy is a really important part, and being able to even think those thoughts.” SNL is known for commenting on the current political climate.
