John Wilson Doc ‘The History of Concrete’ Gets Theatrical Release

John Wilson Doc ‘The History of Concrete’ Gets Theatrical Release

The John Wilson-directed documentary The History of Concrete has been acquired by Magnolia Pictures for North America, with a theatrical release planned for later this year. The History of Concrete, the feature debut from the creative behind the popular HBO series How To with John Wilson, premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim. The doc follows Wilson, after the finale of his TV show and looking for a new creative outlet, as he attempts to make the definitive documentary about concrete and to tell that story through the structure of a Hallmark movie. Dan Fienberg, in his The Hollywood Reporter review out of Sundance, writes, “John Wilson is the Werner Herzog of the mundane, the lo-fi poet laureate of New York City. He’s half puckish prankster, half earnest documentarian, all inquisitive wanderer. Once you tap into his vibe, carefully written and edited to seem stream-of-consciousness, the viewing experience is like the most laconic roller coaster imaginable.” Wilson produced the doc, along with Clark Filio, Shirel Kozak and Allie Viti. Executive producers are …

Kelly Osbourne makes bold change to appearance shortly after Sid Wilson split

Some women get a new haircut after a breakup, but Kelly Osbourne has decided to get a new tattoo. The mom-of-one took to social media on Tuesday March 24, to share she had gone under the needle, having what appeared to be an orange star inked on her rib cage next to a previous tattoo. Kelly recently split from her fiancé, and the father of her son, Slipknot musician Sid Wilson, seven months their engagement.  Sid, 49, proposed to Kelly, 41, in July 2025 after more than three years of dating and welcoming their son, Sidney, together in November 2022. Kelly Osbourne gets a new tattoo The video revealed she visited her friend Luigi Carbone, a tattoo artist who works in London, a day after she and close friends watched Lily Allen’s ‘West End Girl’ tour stop in the capital city. Caleb Wilson Watches From Sideline as No. 17 North Carolina Loses at No. 1 Duke

Caleb Wilson Watches From Sideline as No. 17 North Carolina Loses at No. 1 Duke

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Caleb Wilson was right where he wanted to be in a sense, standing alongside his North Carolina teammates on the court before a rivalry loss at No. 1 Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium. But the star freshman and high-end NBA prospect can only watch now. Instead, a freak injury — complete with Wilson posting a post-surgery photo on social media — has ended what is expected to be a lone college season with his high-lottery draft projection. It’s also delivered a potentially devastating blow to the Tar Heels’ postseason aspirations. “Obviously, there’s tremendous sadness for him,” coach Hubert Davis said. “It was a dream for him to play in the ACC and NCAA Tournament. And my heart is broken that he won’t be able to do that. But we finished the regular season, now it’s time to regroup and move toward the ACC Tournament.” “Unfortunately we’re kind of used to it as a team,” Trimble said. The Tar Heels had gone 5-1 without Wilson as he inched closer to a potential …

What Keir Starmer can learn from ‘little creep’ Harold Wilson in dealing with an angry US president

What Keir Starmer can learn from ‘little creep’ Harold Wilson in dealing with an angry US president

The Anglo-American “special relationship” has hit a low ebb following American strikes on Iran. US president Donald Trump disparaged British prime minister Keir Starmer with a negative comparison to Winston Churchill, making clear his “disappointment” over British reticence to offer logistical support to the American military. This is the latest in a series of comments Trump has made about Starmer’s authority on foreign policy concerns – particularly the British return of Diego Garcia to Mauritius. For his part, Starmer has publicly broken from the president on the matter of Greenland, offering “strong support” to Denmark in response to US threats to take over the territory. In January, when Trump disparaged British troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, Starmer called the remarks “appalling.”. Despite Trump’s attempts on Truth Social to smooth the matter over following a “stern” call from Starmer, one controversial exchange has bled into the next. Trump is understood to be very unhappy that the UK won’t join strikes on Iran. Starmer has stood by his decision and insists it is his duty to decide …

Swivel’s Graham Wilson Joins Marc Straus Gallery as Partner

Swivel’s Graham Wilson Joins Marc Straus Gallery as Partner

Marc Straus Gallery announced Tuesday that Graham Wilson, the founder of Tribeca’s Swivel Gallery, has joined the gallery as a partner and senior director. As part of the move, Swivel will close its Tribeca space and its artists will move over to Straus, which has locations in Tribeca and the Lower East Side. The latter, located at 299 Grand Street, will host a group exhibition curated by Wilson and showcasing Swivel’s artists, set to open March 19. “The art world is evolving quickly, with rising costs and a growing need for collaboration reshaping gallery operations in New York City,” the gallery said in a press statement. “With our four-story Lower East Side gallery, our Tribeca space, and a talented team, joining forces with Graham allows us to merge our programs, strengthen our support for artists, and create more opportunities for creative growth.” Related Articles In a phone call with ARTnews, Wilson similarly described the move as an effort to better support Swivel’s artists with more gallery infrastructure, as their careers have grown. “It’s about having the right amount …

Vivian Wilson, Estranged Daughter of Elon Musk, Walks For Gucci at Milan Fashion Week 2026

Earlier this year, Wilson was even chosen by Rihanna for her Fenty brand’s new lingerie campaign. Last year, Vivian Wilson spoke to Vanity Fair after her first lingerie campaign, for TomboyX: “I was terrified,” she said. “Before this, I was very much the person who, like, didn’t show any skin, ever, at all. Even in my day-to-day, like going to the beach with friends, I would, like, not wear a swimsuit. So it was very, very nerve-racking, but I wanted to do [the shoot] because I wanted to have more confidence in my own body. I do feel confident in my own body, but I wanted to, like, prove that confidence to myself, if that makes any sense. But also I was really scared, but what got me together on the day was the hairstylist and makeup artist, who are two amazing and hyper-talented trans women. We were just joking around and cutting it up before the [shoot].” At the time, she was planning future runway shows, but was concentrating on photo shoots and being …

Jason Statham Asks Nothing of Me | Chloe Wilson

Jason Statham Asks Nothing of Me | Chloe Wilson

And for this I’m grateful. The scene:I’m in my convalescent’s nest—a corner of the sofa.Floral pajamas, oily roots. The pain refersinto my shoulders, as they foretold. A flashof the anesthetist: This will feel cold. Your face will prickle. A male voice: She’s out. Let’s do this. Now, in the weeks betweenvisits to the theater, I want nothingto do with human drama. Spare me the pathos, the redemption arc. What do I want? That’s easy. Meataxe logic. Justice in its roughestapproximation. I want boots crunching across broken glass,I want someone to throw themselves from a skyscraperonto a helicopter, I want atomic lawsto be a surmountable inconvenience, and the plot incidental, motivationspaper thin. Good merciful god, I want to watch thingsexplode. Is a little gelignitetoo much to ask? And then cued up like a giftis the filmography of Jason Statham. I am touched by the solicitude of the algorithm. One after another I consume them. I cannotget enough. Mafioso, secret agent, marineor criminal, it doesn’t matter, in every incarnationhe’s the same, plus or minus kevlar, beret, turtleneck. I watchas …

From Harold Wilson to Liz Truss – what the fates of former prime ministers can teach Keir Starmer

From Harold Wilson to Liz Truss – what the fates of former prime ministers can teach Keir Starmer

Despite his name – honouring Keir Hardie, the first leader of the Labour party – Keir Starmer is not known to be a student of political history. This apparent incuriosity helps define an indistinct political identity. Asked which premier inspires him, Starmer cites Harold Wilson, an unusual choice – Attlee is much more revered in Labour – and superficially surprising. No politician was more political than Wilson: the moment a camera appeared his usual cigar and brandy was replaced with a pipe and a pint. But recent events have demonstrated that Starmer has reason to choose the man who was Labour prime minister twice in the 1960s and 1970s. Wilson had been soft left, but in Downing Street was non-ideological, tricksy, and reactive. This was partly why he was subject to frenzied speculation about being toppled in office. Labour’s performance in the May 1968 local elections was catastrophic. The following day The Daily Mirror – Labour’s champion – extraordinarily called for Wilson’s removal: he had “lost all credibility: all authority”. Wilson was thereafter beset by …

Tom Wilson Fights in Canada’s Game Vs. France at the Olympics

MILAN (AP) — Who says there’s no fighting in hockey at the Olympics? Tom Wilson clearly does not care that it’s shunned in international play. Wilson dropped the gloves late in Canada’s 10-2 rout of France on Sunday, going after the player who delivered a forearm to the head of teammate Nathan MacKinnon minutes earlier. “Obviously fighting isn’t a big thing in this tournament, but when a guy takes a run at one of our big guys, that’s what Willy does,” three-time Olympian Drew Doughty said. “I mean, he does a lot more than that, but it was great to see him step up.” Wilson fought Pierre Crinon, who was given a two-minute minor penalty and apologized to MacKinnon after the hit in the third period. Scoring 25 seconds into the ensuing power play was not good enough punishment in the eyes of Canada’s players. “We didn’t like the hit: felt like it was late and high,” tournament leading scorer Connor McDavid said. “Willy just finishes a check and the guy jumps him, and Willy’s …
