Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce donate million to 20 charities ahead of MSG wedding

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are giving back ahead of their big day.

The pop icon and Kansas City Chiefs star, both 36, donated $26 million to at least 20 charity organizations including food banks, music education programs and children’s hospitals in the days before they are set to tie the knot Friday at Madison Square Garden, according to a representative.

Swift and Kelce donated to several groups that are based in cities that hold meaning for each of the A-listers, including New York Cares, Nashville’s The Store, Rhode Island Community Food Bank, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, After-School All-Stars in Kelce’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, Helping Harvest in Swift’s hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania, and Kansas City’s Children’s Mercy Hospital.

The list of recipients also includes national charities like Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, ASPCA, Feeding America and Grammy In The Schools.

While the number $26 million might seem random, fans of the Grammy-winning singer know that her favorite number is 13 — which doubles to equal 26.

The press release confirming the $26 million figure did not mention anything about the upcoming wedding, and neither Kelce nor Swift have addressed the reports of their wedding taking place Friday.

The festivities are expected to kick off with a rehearsal dinner for 100 guests Thursday evening at the Infosys Theater within the massive 22,000-capacity arena. Then, Friday’s party will begin with a cocktail hour at 4 p.m. before the ceremony takes place at 5:30 p.m. The celebrations are expected to go until 2 a.m.

At MSG, workers have been seen moving large props, including a grand piano, tree branches and carpeting into the arena. Boxes labeled “garden party” and “GAZ” — thought to be short for gazebo — were spotted being carted into the venue.

The wedding will reportedly see more than 1,000 guests attend the ceremony, which is set to take place on the floor of the arena. The guest list is said to include a number of celebrities. TV presenter Graham Norton and actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge were spotted arriving in the city ahead of the ceremony. Plus, Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw are expected to perform at the wedding.

Guests were reportedly made to sign an electronic non-disclosure agreement, according to TMZ. Multiple outlets have reported that the wedding venue has been kept a secret from attendees ahead of time, and that the invitations only listed New York City as the location.

People reported that attendees will be asked to give up their phones at the wedding, which reportedly has a black-tie dress code.
