The 108th PGA Championship kicks off on Thursday, May 14, at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, with Scottie Scheffler returning to defend his title
The world number one faces competition from Rory McIlroy, who is looking to add a third PGA Championship to his roster and seventh major title, fresh from defending his Masters title last month.
The season’s second major will see the winner add an impressive amount to their net worth, too. While the purse has yet to be revealed, last year’s event had a prize pot of $19 million, with $3.42 million going to Scottie.

He also has lucrative endorsement deals with the likes of Adidas, Callaway, Titleist, Aon, and Discovery Land Company.

In 2025, he was named the world’s highest-paid golfer for the second consecutive year, earning approximately $102 million between April 2025 and April 2026.
