Gummer has said that costumes were instrumental in finding the look of Caroline, the older sister of JFK Jr. “The moment I put it on, I was like, ‘Oh, here she is.’ She buttons the cuffs, always, and buttons it all the way to the top. Together, classy, elegant, old world, but with this spirit. Everybody talks about Caroline’s style—I think she had impeccable style, and still does.”
Mamie Gummer, the eldest of Streep’s daughters at 42, wore a long sleeve, sheer net dress. Call the We Were Liars star’s look a naked dress—it’s a trend of the night.
And then there is Louisa Jacobson. The youngest daughter, 34, stars in HBO’s The Gilded Age. She wore a Khaite leather ensemble with her short blonde bob and sunglasses on. And matching gloves!
The sisters are something of a social institution in the city, often spotted on the streets of Manhattan as low-key celebrities. And Jacobson has been something of a muse for New York City designer Daniella Kallmeyer, starring in her eponymous brand’s spring 2025 campaign.
“I have always loved dress up since I was little. And my parents really supported that kind of play at home. And so, it fueled my imagination. It was my number one top activity,” she told Elle last year. “I also always loved letting my friends borrow clothes, or when I borrowed clothes from my sister, Grace. I always looked up to her. I think Grace is actually the person who introduced me to Kallmeyer, but throughout my life, she’s always looked fabulous.”
So when the three sisters get together post-Oscars, is the topic of conversation mom and dad, new roles they’re auditioning for, or what’s in their Real Real carts? Who knows, but there’s much to discuss.
