Royal fans share thoughts on Prince Harry’s security status | Royal | News

Royal fans have shared that they believe Prince Harry should be able to pay for his own security now that he is back in the UK. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived back in Britain last week, with their two children starting at a school in the UK this month.

The couple’s shock return was revealed just days before they landed at Birmingham airport on August 26. King Charles and Prince William were reportedly only made aware of the couple’s plans just days before it was made public.

It has been reported that Meghan had plans for the couple’s new home in the UK, including a desire for it to have nine bedrooms.

In addition to their newly rented non-royal property, which is in an undisclosed location, the couple have kept their Montecito mansion and a property in Portugal.

Royal fans have pointed out, mainly via social media, that, since the couple can afford three high-priced homes, they should be able to afford their own security.

In a new poll by the Daily Express, which ran from 9am on August 31 to 6.30pm on September 2, fans voiced their opinions on whether Harry should pay for his own security now that he lives in the UK.

A staggering 10,202 people, out of the 10,604 who voted, said that Harry should pay for his family’s security in the UK.

Sharing an opposite opinion, just 372 people voted that he should no have to pay, with an additional 30 people voting that they were unsure what Harry should do.

One royal fan took to the comment section to say, “If Harry has three home he must pay for his own security… I think Harry is trying to pull the rug from under our feet or our nose. If Harry paid for his security in America, then Harry must pay for it here.”

Another added: “Of course, he should pay for his own security, duh,” whilst another added, “Yes he’s not a working royal plus if he can afford to hire a private jet to fly back to the UK, he can pay for his own security…”
