Apple TV’s highly anticipated psychological thriller Cape Fear officially landed on our screens on Friday, and viewers are already hooked.  Inspired by the iconic 1991 film directed by Martin Scorsese and produced by Steven Spielberg, this new ten-part series stars Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson as married attorneys whose lives begin to unravel when a vengeful killer from their past is released from prison.  © Apple TVPatrick Wilson and Amy Adams star in Cape Fear As a horror fan, I was thrilled to hear the story was getting a modern reimagining – especially with Javier Bardem perfectly cast as the manic Max Cady. What is Cape Fear about?  The series is based on both the 1957 novel The Executioners by John D. MacDonald, which inspired Gregory Peck’s 1962 film of the same name, as well as the acclaimed 1991 remake directed by Martin Scorsese. The series follows Max …

The actor joined the long-running soap opera in 1991 as Jason Morgan, who was born to the elite Quartermine family. However, Jason experienced permanent amnesia after a car accident in 1995, prompting him to renounce his roots and become the chief mob associate of Sonny Corinthos (portrayed by Maurice Benard). Burton, 57, has departed the show multiple times over the years. He was let go in 2021 because he refused to get the Covid-19 vaccine, but returned in 2024. Tip Toe release schedule: When is episode 2 out on Channel 4?

Tip Toe release schedule: When is episode 2 out on Channel 4?

Russell T Davies’s provocative new drama Tip Toe kicks off on Channel 4 tonight, with the unnerving series sure to leave viewers desperate to know what happens next. However, in a break away from the modern habit of ‘binge-watching’, not all episodes will be made available on the day of the premiere, meaning we’ll have several days to bite our nails before the final chapters arrive. Tip Toe is a tense thriller set in Manchester, where gay bar owner Leo (Alan Cumming) and electrician Clive (David Morrissey) have lived next door to each other for more than a decade. Despite never having any serious disputes through all that time, their dynamic becomes a pressure cooker over the course of one fateful week, when a series of surprising events put them at loggerheads. Davies has described Tip Toe as reflecting an “emergency” for the UK as polarisation and mistrust permeates our communities, and risks tearing them apart altogether. If you’re eager to find out what happens, here’s your full guide to the Tip Toe release schedule …

Our ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Finale Predictions: Who Dies in Episode 8?

Our ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Finale Predictions: Who Dies in Episode 8?

“If there’s a beginning, there must be an end,” Zendaya’s character, Rue, says in the penultimate episode of Euphoria season three, which ends, likely for good, with its May 31 finale. The hit teen drama premiered on HBO in the summer of 2019, back when “Old Town Road” topped the charts and the biggest thing Jacob Elordi had ever done was kiss Joey King at a carnival. Seven years and merely three seasons later, Euphoria has become part of the zeitgeist, remembered for its bedazzled underage debauchery as well as its provocative commentary on coming of age in Trump’s America. Euphoria launched Zendaya and now Oscar nominee Elordi into the stratosphere, alongside costars Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, and Sydney Sweeney. Fate has been less favorable to their onscreen counterparts, who, five years after graduating East Highland High School, are all going through it. Rue descends into crime, working with Nazis, the feds, and a Black cowboy in a drug plot that stems from her adolescent foibles with monotone drug dealer Laurie (Martha Kelly). …

As Love Island makes its return to TV screens this summer, the hit reality show is pulling out all the stops to keep viewers tuned in every night – and a major change is coming. Ahead of Monday night’s launch, supervising executive producer Lewis Evans revealed that the first episode will begin with a bang, and will feature something that has never been done before in the history of the show. The promotional material for this year’s series has been centred around two major events this summer that will get the nation talking: the World Cup and Love Island. While it all kicks off on the pitch, things will also be kicking off in Mallorca with plenty of game play in the villa. Want to see this content? This page contains content provided by Instagram. Obsession director reveals unlikely inspiration from The Simpsons episode

Obsession director reveals unlikely inspiration from The Simpsons episode

Get the latest entertainment news, reviews and star-studded interviews with our Independent Culture email Get the latest entertainment news with our free Culture newsletter Get the latest entertainment news with our free Culture newsletter Horror’s buzziest new movie, Obsession, is a classic tale of “be careful what you wish for”; however, YouTuber-turned-filmmaker Curry Barker has revealed that a specific episode of The Simpsons pushed him to make the film. Months before Obsession took the box office by storm with terrifying visuals and Inde Navarette’s star-making performance as a terrifyingly possessive girlfriend, its 26-year-old director admitted that the idea for the film came as a surprise during a hangout with his friends. Barker told Variety in a September 2025 interview that he had invited a group of people over to watch his performance in an episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but was struck by inspiration when a rerun of an old 1991 episode of The Simpsons, “Treehouse of Horror II,” played before the episode and reminded him of a classic horror trope. “Bart gets …

Stranger Things cast react to “baffling” fan theory about secret episode

Stranger Things cast react to “baffling” fan theory about secret episode

Stranger Things’ cast and creatives have addressed the fan theory that claimed Netflix was secretly planning to release a bonus episode after the show’s finale. The fifth and final season of the sci-fi phenomenon was released in three parts, with the feature-length finale landing on New Year’s Eve 2025 and bringing the story of Hawkins, Eleven and the Upside Down to a dramatic end. However, after the final episode dropped, some fans became convinced that the ending was not the real conclusion at all. The theory, dubbed “Conformity Gate” online, suggested that the events of the finale were actually an illusion created by Vecna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower, and that a surprise ninth episode would later be released as the show’s true ending. Speaking at an Emmys For Your Consideration event in Los Angeles, Bower reflected on the speculation and admitted he had been taken aback by how far the theory spread. Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler and Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven in Stranger Things. Netflix “That was crazy, that was f**king crazy,” he …

Rivals season 2 release schedule: When does episode 5 land on Disney+?

Rivals season 2 release schedule: When does episode 5 land on Disney+?

This week’s episode of Rivals keeps the scandal spinning, with Rupert Campbell-Black still reeling from the televised exposé that sent his reputation into freefall. No longer in politics, no longer working for Venturer and no longer welcome in some of Rutshire’s once-warm social circles, Rupert is doing what Rupert does best: distracting himself with anything except the mess directly in front of him. As executive producer Laura Wade put it, season 2 finds Rupert as “just a guy trying to be good” – albeit one with decades of bad behaviour behind him. Meanwhile, Alex Hassell has admitted that the new season keeps both the audience and the cast guessing, saying the writers have stayed faithful to Dame Jilly Cooper’s world while also going “off in their own ways”. Maud (Victoria Smurfit) is also back in Rutshire as the latest pawn in Tony Baddingham’s (David Tennant) war against Declan (Aidan Turner) – though, by the end of episode 4, it looked as though Tony’s latest power play had taken a much steamier turn. Of course, we’d …
