Coachella Favorite PinkPantheress Is Shaping a New British Wave

Alongside artists like RAYE, Olivia Dean, and Charli xcx, PinkPanthress is part of a new class of British musicians finding global traction by leaning further into their sound, instead of smoothing it out. “There’s definitely a raw spirit that the UK brings,” she says, calling ahead of a show in Vancouver. “I don’t really know how or why…but we tend to be more from the heart.” Vanity Fair: You’ve gone straight from a show in Mexico City into Weekend 1 of Coachella and back on tour. What’s that run been like so far? PinkPantheress: It’s been pretty hectic, but I’ve enjoyed every aspect of it. I really enjoy performing these days, so it’s been incredible being able to play like that. You’ve created a really immersive, almost cinematic show on tour, with characters like DJ Joe and backup dancers called Pinkettes. How do things change when you bring it to a festival like Coachella? When I got booked for Coachella, I realised there’d be fans there. But I’d guess maybe less than 50% of the …

Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut, along with a Zero Sugar version, has returned to stores nationwide, giving customers another chance to sip on the tropical-inspired treat after its debut in summer 2024. But like a cold soda on a hot day, it won’t last forever. This limited-time release is only sticking around through July 31 at major retailers like Walmart, Amazon, Target and Kroger. The flavor, sold in 12-ounce 12-packs, blends Dr Pepper’s 23-flavor formula with a coconut twist, creating a smooth, almost dessert-like, taste. It also features familiar notes like caramel, vanilla and spice. Despite its name, the drink does not contain actual cream but is designed to mimic …

Here’s my favorite email trick for cleaning up inbox clutter – automatically

MirageC/Moment/Getty Images Follow ZDNET: Add us as a preferred source on Google. I’ve had the same email address for more than two decades. I use it for just about everything I do. That’s really convenient, but it also means my inbox is inundated with advertising, newsletters, social media updates, and other ephemera. Left unchecked, that firehose of trivial correspondence can overwhelm the useful and important stuff. The world’s two largest email providers realize this is a problem. Gmail and Outlook do some automatic mail sorting with the help of algorithms. Still, their solutions are imperfect and require constant manual intervention to train the algorithms and find the important stuff that was inadvertently demoted. Also: Best email hosting services: Expert tested and reviewed For years, I used rules and filters based on sender addresses to move less important messages out of the inbox and into custom folders. However, setting up and managing those rules is a tedious, time-consuming process. Every time a newsletter or merchant changed their sending address or used a different subdomain, I had …

The internet’s favorite yoga instructor just shared a nine-minute routine for people who sit too much and it was the perfect way to take a break from my desk

I work at a desk, so it’s not unusual to get to lunchtime, or even the end of the day, and realize I’ve spent hours on end sitting. It doesn’t make me feel my best, physically or mentally, and I know I’m not alone. I’d love to make time for a daily workout or long walk, but it’s not always possible. That’s why I’m keen to find small pockets of time to fit in movement where I can. My favorite yoga instructor, Adriene Mishler—better known online to her 13.5 million followers as Yoga With Adriene—recently shared a routine that fit my needs perfectly. Article continues below You may like It’s for people who spend hours sitting and it takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Plus, the whole routine is done standing, so you don’t even need to roll out a yoga mat. Over 60 and can’t get on the floor? A personal trainer shares her favorite standing core exercises for beginner-level seniors

Over 60 and can’t get on the floor? A personal trainer shares her favorite standing core exercises for beginner-level seniors

Strengthening your core is important at any age. However, a strong core becomes even more vital to our health and longevity in our senior years. The core muscles help to keep us stable, upright, and supported through everyday movement. Certain age-related changes, like vision loss or vestibular system deterioration in the inner ear, can begin to affect our balance as we get older. While falls become much more common for those over 60, strong core muscles can help improve balance and reduce the chances of serious injury. Unfortunately, many seniors have mobility concerns that make popular exercises like bird dogs, side planks, and dead bugs off-limits. That doesn’t mean that core training is off the table, though. Article continues below You may like When I start working with a beginner-level senior client who can’t get onto the floor safely, I always teach them the following three standing moves instead. You don’t need any equipment to do them, and they’re accessible for most fitness levels. How to do the standing core exercises for seniors These exercises …

Patrick Radden Keefe Is Hollywood’s New Favorite Author

Patrick Radden Keefe Is Hollywood’s New Favorite Author

Screenwriters secretly envy book authors for their intellectual prestige and creative control, and authors secretly dream of working in Hollywood. Few writers straddle both worlds with the aplomb of Patrick Radden Keefe. To give you a sense: He found the idea for his new book, London Falling, while on the set for the FX adaptation of his 2018 breakout best-seller, Say Nothing, about the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Or rather, the idea found him. Keefe, an executive producer on the series, was in London, sitting in a director’s chair between setups in a mockup of Scotland Yard, when a guest of the episode’s director started chatting with him. The man told Keefe about a family he knew whose 19-year-old son had leaped to his death into the Thames under mysterious circumstances, and that after he died, they found out he’d pretended to be the son of a Russian oligarch and had been consorting with notorious members of London’s underworld. Keefe was hooked. The tragedy, he believed, could be a lens through which to tell the …

Robert Pattinson Wore Menswear Guys’ Favorite Shoe in ‘The Drama’

Robert Pattinson Wore Menswear Guys’ Favorite Shoe in ‘The Drama’

If you know anything about me, you’ll know that I’m, first and foremost, a sneaker guy. I can ID a pair from across the street just by the shape of the tongue or the panel layout or the way the sole’s cut. My lovely editor Mahalia Chang calls my talent “scary,” which I choose to take as a compliment. But as much as I’m into trainers, I can also appreciate a good non-sneaker shoe. And one of the best non-sneaker shoes out there is the Paraboot Michael—the same one that Robert Pattinson happens to wear in The Drama. In the A24 movie, Pattinson’s character, Charlie, isn’t exactly what you’d call a high-fashion guy. He’s a museum director who clearly prioritizes comfort over anything else. He’s in Patagonia raincoats most of the time, worn over washed-out checkered shirts or open-collar button-ups with the tails hanging out. His glasses look like they’ve been worn down over years of actual use. Even his sneakers—a pair of Asics GT-2160s—are more about cushioning than clout. And his go-to backpack? An …

I walk 100km a month testing walking shoes and my favorite budget-friendly shoe is now under

I walk 100km a month testing walking shoes and my favorite budget-friendly shoe is now under $60

Outdoor brand Columbia has been growing in my estimation with every product I’ve tried. Despite being quite reasonably priced, everything I try is high-quality and built to last. The first thing I ever tested was the Columbia Konos TRS shoe, which features in my guide to the best walking shoes as my best pick for those on a budget. The price is already a reasonable $100, but you can now get yourself a pair for under $60 at Amazon. It should be obvious to anyone looking at my walking shoe guide that I am fussy about footwear. I demand comfort, cushioning and durability from my walking shoes and if they don’t meet my standards, I won’t recommend them. The Columbia Konos exceeded my expectations in every way. For the price, I expected cheap materials, thin soles and no bounce underfoot whatsoever. Instead, I found it to be comfortable, well-cushioned and to have surprisingly high energy return for what is technically a trail shoe. I wear my Konos everywhere. It is comfortable enough for city stomps …
