Police reopen investigation into Andrew Tate sex abuse allegations | UK News

Police have reopened an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse against Andrew Tate. Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed it will reinvestigate alleged rape and sexual assault offences reported to the force between 2014 and 2015. It comes a day after the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said it was investigating how the force dealt with the allegations after the case was closed in 2019, following a four-year probe. It said it was investigating a former detective constable, who could face gross misconduct proceedings for “alleged failures to properly investigate”, and two former detective sergeants who supervised the investigation. Then on Thursday the force confirmed the allegations were being re-examined. In September last year, the CPS …

Trump wants other countries to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz. That might not be so easy.

Trump wants other countries to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz. That might not be so easy.

U.S. allies and rivals responded cautiously after President Donald Trump said they should police the Strait of Hormuz, as Iranian threats to strike shipping on the vital trade route continue to cause chaos in global markets. “Many countries, especially those who are affected by Iran’s attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships” to secure the shipping route, he posted Saturday on Truth Social, listing China, France, Japan, South Korea, the U.K. and “others” among the nations he hoped would provide support. “The U.S. will also coordinate with those Countries so that everything goes quickly, smoothly, and well. This should have always been a team effort, and now it will be,” he added in a subsequent post. The Strait of Hormuz, which links the Persian Gulf to the open ocean, is a key trade artery through which around a fifth of the world’s oil passes, carried by about 3,000 ships sailing through the corridor each month. But numerous ships have come under attack in the area since the war began two weeks …

Duke’s Malibu to reopen 14 months after Palisades fire

Duke’s Malibu to reopen 14 months after Palisades fire

Duke’s Malibu, the landmark oceanfront restaurant on Pacific Coast Highway, will reopen Friday following a 14-month closure because of mudslide damage. The popular coastal restaurant that’s celebrating 30 years in operation this year withstood the Palisades fire that tore through Malibu, Pacific Palisades and Topanga Canyon over a year ago, suffering only smoke damage. Plans to reopen were underway last February when mudslides from heavy rain sent four feet of mud into the restaurant, requiring extensive repairs, cleanup and a full renovation. “The mud just nearly wiped us out,” general manager Jimmy Chavez said. Duke’s planned to reopen last summer, but construction delays set the restaurant back even further, shifting the opening date to early 2026. The restaurant had to tear down its walls to ensure no mold was growing, and was forced to replace its equipment, furniture, plumbing and flooring. “The circumstances weren’t ideal, but we end up with a fully renovated restaurant at 30 years, 30 years old, which is unheard of,” Chavez said. Chavez said the building’s proximity to the water led …

Macron announces ‘purely defensive’ mission to reopen Strait of Hormuz

President Emmanuel Macron said on a visit to Cyprus on Monday that France and its allies were working to put together a “purely defensive” mission to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He said the mission would be aimed at escorting vessels “after the end of the hottest phase of the conflict” in the Middle East to ensure the flow of oil and gas – as the war pitting  the US and Israel against Iran entered its second week, sending global oil prices soaring. Russia’s Pavilion at the Venice Biennale to Reopen This Year

Russia’s Pavilion at the Venice Biennale to Reopen This Year

After closing for the last two editions of the Venice Biennale following its war in Ukraine, Russia will reopen its national pavilion this year, its organizers told ARTnews. In February 2022, Russian artists Kirill Savchenkov and Alexandra Sukhareva, along with Lithuanian curator Raimundas Malašauskas, withdrew from the pavilion from that year’s Biennale, citing Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. Calling the war “politically and emotionally unbearable” and saying there was “no place for art” amid the conflict, they stepped down. “The Russian Pavilion will remain closed,” the pavilion’s organizers posted on Instagram. Related Articles Two years later at the 2024 Venice Biennale, Russia handed over the keys to its pavilion in the Giardini to the Plurinational State of Bolivia to mount a pavilion for the event’s 60th edition. Russia did not issue a public statement, and ARTnews’s attempts at the time to reach the pavilion’s organizers and the country’s culture ministry for comment were unsuccessful. However, on Tuesday, Mikhail Shvydkoy—Russia’s delegate for international cultural exchanges and the country’s former culture minister—confirmed the Russian Pavilion will open in …

Is It Time To Reopen The Franklin Child Prostitution Case After Epstein Revelations?

Is It Time To Reopen The Franklin Child Prostitution Case After Epstein Revelations?

Authored by Brandon Smith via Alt-Market.us The seriousness of a conspiracy can often be quantified by the amount of energy the establishment expends trying to bury it. Consider for a moment the fact that Jeffery Epstein’s monstrous club of elites faced near zero mainstream exposure for over 20 years, despite his arrest for human trafficking in 2006. Think about the level of political and media interference, the highly organized propaganda, the targeted attacks against conspiracy researchers – Think about the amount of money and time that was expended just to shut us up and convince the public the Epstein situation was “overblown”. The revelations of the “Lolita Express” and the flights to Little Saint James Island are nothing compared to what we now find in the millions of documents released in the past month. Hints of rape, torture, possible murder, and even cannibalism are present in the coded (and not so coded) language of Epstein’s emails. And, if the revelations of “Pizzagate” and the John Podesta emails are correct, then many of the horrors committed …
