It has become a given in Westminster circles that Keir Starmer’s tenure as prime minister could be nearing its end. This is because, fairly or unfairly, the UK public have made up their minds – and they do not like him. Labour MPs know this all too well, having seen the level of animosity on the doorstep during recent election campaigns in England, Wales and Scotland. They just didn’t immediately know what to do about it. But then Wes Streeting quit as health secretary, criticising Starmer in his resignation letter for what he said was a “vacuum” where political vision was required. Audacy’s Los Angeles news radio station KNX is ending its simulcast on 97.1 FM, which will move to a sports talk format on May 11. The New York-based audio company announced Tuesday that the frequency will be re-branded as the Fan, becoming the first all-sports FM station in the Los Angeles market. Sports talk listeners are currently served by KLAC, an AM station co-owned by iHeartRadio and the Dodgers, ESPN LA 710, and KLAA at 830 AM, owned by the Los Angeles Angels. KNX will continue its all-news format on its AM frequency 1070. The station will also be heard on 97.1 HD2, mostly available in vehicles equipped with digital radios. Chris Oliviero, chief business officer for Audacy, said the moves are aimed at providing more local content to listeners in the Los Angeles market. After using Arc as my default browser on my Mac for over three years, I recently shifted to Microsoft Edge. I chose Edge because it seemed to offer a clean browsing experience on Mac and support for Chrome extensions. I have already been using Edge on Android, and the experience was pretty great! So, I thought it would be nice to have the same browser on my Mac as well. A couple of weeks into the shift, I am happy with what Edge offers. There was a surprise, though. Between 2 coffee cups, a water bottle, a few devices I’m testing, a tripod, a sunset lamp, my laptop and iPad, and a bunch of charging cables to fuel up all these devices (the coffee and water fuel me, thankfully), my desk is always a mess.
