The actor, 28, filmed a scene with Emily Blunt last year that was set to be included at the beginning of the highly anticipated sequel. However, Entertainment Weekly reported Tuesday that the scene does not appear in the movie at all after a “creative decision” was taken to remove it. In the movie, the trio of former Runway magazine colleagues played by Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci reportedly approach Blunt’s character, who now works at Dior, to seek her help to save the fashion magazine. When they arrive at her work, they find Blunt’s character helping dress a celebrity client, played by Sweeney as herself in the three-minute scene. Neither representatives for Disney nor Sweeney returned The Independent’s request for comment. …

When it comes to The Devil Wears Prada 2, a sequel for spring is groundbreaking. After moving at a glacial pace—it’s been 20 years since the original 2006 film—the movie is having its world premiere on Monday evening, reintroducing a select group of New Yorkers to Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly, the chicly domineering editor in chief of Runway magazine. Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans are open to a White Chicks sequel, but under one condition. The brothers, who also returned for the new Scary Movie installment, recently opened up about potentially revisiting the cult classic during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I’ll put it this way: we’re game,” Marlon said. “We want to know if people want to come out and laugh, and [if] they come see Scary Movie, then I definitely…” Shawn continued, “If this movie does well, a White Chicks 2 can happen.” The 2004 comedy follows two disgraced FBI agents who go undercover, transforming themselves from African-American men into blonde, white women, in an effort to protect a pair of socialites from a kidnapping plot. In the newly-released trailer for the upcoming family comedy, Ariana takes centre stage as the new girlfriend of Ben’s character’s son Henry (played by Skyler Gisondo) – who the family patriarch has a spot of trouble warming up to. Now, the dystopian epic has returned with a dark coming-of-age fable in the sequel, The Testaments. Set 15 years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale, Agnes (Chase Infiniti) is a plum (a pre-pubescent girl in Gilead) ripe for the picking for an arranged marriage by one of the aunts at Aunt Lydia’s finishing school for girls. Groomed until they are ‘truly worthy’ of a husband (aka become fertile), the teenage girls – dressed in plum, pearl or green – are primed to run a household with training in the culinary arts, lace work and the scriptures. Dan Levy knows there’s no Schitt’s Creek without Catherine O’Hara. During a recent interview on CBS News Sunday Morning, the Emmy-winning actor, producer and showrunner visited Goodwood — the small town in Ontario, Canada, where Schitt’s Creek was filmed — for the first time since the sitcom wrapped in 2020. While standing outside the store that was once called Rose Apothecary, the fictional boutique his character David Rose owned, CBS News’ Anthony Mason asked if there was any chance for a sequel series. “No. Not now,” Levy replied. “You can’t.” The Big Mistakes co-creator added that at one point, he was “thinking about” a follow-up to Schitt’s Creek.
