Dame Joan Collins never fails to inspire when it comes to showstopping glamour, and the Dynasty actress has caught fans’ attention once again with a hair transformation in her latest post on social media. The iconic actress, who made a dazzling appearance at the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival earlier this week, took to Instagram on Saturday to share behind-the-scenes snaps from her upcoming film, The Bitter End (also referred to as The Duchess and I). The 92-year-old shared a series of four pictures, each featuring one of her co-stars. Lucasfilm will celebrate May the 4th — the unofficial Star Wars holiday —by hosting a special fan event for the upcoming Star Wars: The Mandalorian and the Grogu in select Imax theaters across the globe. Directed by Jon Favreau, the movie is a spin-of Disney+’s streaming series The Mandalorian, and brings Grogu, aka Baby Yoda, to the big screen for the first time. Each fan event will be anchored by more than 25 minutes of new footage, while special giveaways will include an new poster; find a list of of participating Imax cinemas here. Mandalorian and Grogu opens in North America May 22, the beginning of the long Memorial Day weekend. Rove, a company founded to improve the EV charging experience by building “full service” EV charging centers with access to amenities you can use while charging, has now opened its second charging plaza in Costa Mesa, CA, and we got a sneak preview. Rove opened its first charging plaza in Santa Ana, CA in 2024. The format is somewhat unique, at least in the US. Rather than just being a couple DC chargers tucked in the back corner of whatever parking lot they could get an agreement with, Rove has created a full travel plaza centered around a huge bank of chargers. There are plenty of gas stations with amenities for travelers, so why shouldn’t EV chargers have the same or more, given that people are going to be spending a little more time there anyway? Subaru just revealed its new Getaway EV, a 420hp three-row SUV. But we got a sneak preview last month in California for the inside scoop. The New York Auto Show is kicking off this week, and Subaru announced a new 3-row electric SUV this morning. But instead of heading over to see it in New York, we got to see it last month in the middle of a wintertime California heatwave (which was a result of climate change, caused by gas-powered vehicles). Subaru invited us up to Malibu to have a look at the car ahead of its release, though we only got to look at it and sit in it, and not drive it around yet. Astronauts practise tasks in a simulated moon environment NASA Preparing to send people back to the moon is a complex business, with astronaut safety at the top of the list of priorities. In the image above, NASA crew members are testing a new generation of spacesuits, built by Texas-based aerospace company Axiom Space. The company’s Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit aims to make life easier by increasing the flexibility and mobility of the astronauts when they navigate the moon’s surface and collect geological samples. Axiom Space completed its internal review of the suits earlier this month. Now, it is NASA’s turn to evaluate whether they are ready for its Artemis III mission.
