The Sudden Urge To Get A Tattoo Is Usually A Sign Something Big Is Happening In Your Life

Have you ever had the urge to get a new tattoo out of nowhere? It could be a sign that something major is about to happen in your life, and you definitely shouldn’t ignore it. When you get that sudden feeling to change something about your appearance, specifically some new ink, that sudden craving for a tattoo can signify an awakening. Something about you is changing, and your subconscious is doing everything it can to get you on board.  The sudden urge to get a tattoo is a sign that something big is happening in your life. Manifestation and spiritual experts have pointed out that getting a tattoo is often a sign of an awakening happening in your life. If you’re someone who’s drawn to tattoos during big internal shifts like empowerment or shadow work, it’s usually because the brain is trying to reorganize its identity. It’s why, subconsciously, you want to help your brain solidify a new identity. A tattoo also carries the energetic frequency of who you were when you got it. Old …

Wabanaki Nations urge judge to dismiss Oxford Casino challenge against internet gambling

Maine’s four Wabanaki Nations are asking a federal judge to throw out Oxford Casino’s challenge to the state’s new internet gaming law, arguing the measure is grounded in tribal sovereignty and Maine’s longstanding legal agreements with federally recognized tribes. The filing is the latest development in a lawsuit over Maine’s Economic Opportunity Act, which Gov. Janet Mills signed earlier this year after a heated debate over online casino gambling. The law authorizes the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians, Mi’kmaq Nation, Passamaquoddy Tribe and Penobscot Nation to each receive one internet gaming license and partner with outside operators. Ministers Urge Keir Starmer To Resign As Leader

Ministers Urge Keir Starmer To Resign As Leader

Keir Starmer will be told to “go gracefully” by members of his cabinet or face a wave of ministerial resignations to force him out, HuffPost UK can reveal. The prime minister will be confronted by members of his top team when he sits down with them for the weekly cabinet meeting this morning. Home secretary Shabana Mahmood, foreign secretary Yvette Cooper, defence secretary John Healey and deputy prime minister David Lammy held one-to-one meetings with the PM on Monday and told him he cannot survive after Labour suffered a drubbing in last week’s elections. Energy secretary Ed Miliband has also communicated to the PM that he should stand down. Other cabinet ministers, including Pat McFadden and Steve Reed, have urged Starmer to dig in, however. It is understood that if he refuses to do so, government ministers will then quit their jobs to force their hand. A senior Labour source told HuffPost UK: “People are being held back to allow the cabinet to give him the opportunity to go gracefully, but if that doesn’t work …

Black clergy strategize, preach and urge election turnout after Voting Rights Act gutting

(RNS) — On the first Sunday (May 3) after the Supreme Court decided to hollow out the Voting Rights Act, the Rev. Richelle Lewis-Castine offered some clear advice to her congregation in Patterson, Louisiana. “I encouraged them to early vote,” said the pastor of an African Methodist Episcopal Church. “I encouraged them to make sure that they get the information, that they’re reading carefully, and to encourage other people — especially those groups in their families who would not normally vote — to vote because it is so very important at this hour.” Rev. Richelle Lewis-Castine is the president of the 8th Episcopal District Women in Ministry and an ordained elder in the AME Church that has pastored many churches in the Central North Louisiana Conference. Jihadists urge united front against Mali junta as Bamako blockade begins

Jihadists in troubled Mali called for a united front to bring down the military junta that has run the country since 2020, as they also began a road blockade on the capital Bamako. The call followed joint weekend attacks by jihadist movements and Tuareg separatists against the ruling junta’s positions. Late Thursday, the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM, allied with Al-Qaeda), issued a statement calling for a broad “common front” to “bring down the junta” and proceed with “a peaceful and inclusive transition”. “We call on all sincere patriots, without exception, to rise up and unite our forces in a common front,” JNIM declared. The jihadist group cited “political parties, the national armed forces, religious authorities, traditional leaders and all components of Malian society” in the French-language statement published on its Az Zallaqa platform. Earlier this week, the JNIM had announced its intention to impose a blockade on access routes to Bamako, threatening severe reprisals against anyone still travelling on roads leading to the capital or the nearby town of Kati, …

Michael Selig, President Donald Trump’s nominee to serve as Commodity Futures Trading Commission chairman, testifies in a Senate Agriculture Committee hearing on his nomination on Capitol Hill, Nov. 19, 2025. Jonathan Ernst | Reuters A group of Democratic lawmakers is urging the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to issue a rule that would aim to rein-in prediction markets, curb insider trading and prohibit certain types of event contracts. In a letter first shared with CNBC and sent to the CFTC on Thursday, a group of congressional Democrats led by Jeff Merkley of Oregon., called on the federal agency to address “the rapid erosion of integrity” within prediction markets such as Kalshi and Polymarket. “We strongly encourage you to use your authority to preserve the intent of prediction markets, and congressional intent behind the Commodity Exchange Act, by issuing a rule that prevents insider trading and corruption in the market and prohibits event contracts on the outcome of elections, war and military actions in the U.S. or abroad, sports, and government actions without a valid economic hedging …

Doctors warn of hidden cancer risks, but urge caution over excessive or unproven tests

Doctors warn of hidden cancer risks, but urge caution over excessive or unproven tests

CONCERNS OVER UNPROVEN TESTING Heightened awareness around cancer has led more people in Singapore to seek screening, according to some hospitals. Over the past year, Tan Tock Seng Hospital saw about 40 per cent more people going for cancer check-ups. These are largely for common cancers such as colorectal, breast and cervical cancer. Medical practitioners attribute the trend to national health initiatives like Healthier SG, as well as greater awareness on social media. But with more people seeking reassurance, doctors are warning against over-testing and the use of unproven methods. “Sometimes it leads to more unnecessary tests, but it can be a good thing if something serious or preventable or treatable is found early,” said Dr Leow. “Healthcare resources are finite. So we want to avoid over-diagnosis or over-treatment, but we also want to avoid missing early treatable conditions that can affect someone’s lifespan, such as cancer. So I think there’s an intricate balance.” NCIS has seen roughly 20 per cent more people going for cancer screenings since the COVID-19 pandemic. It calls for more …

Black and Latino civil rights leaders urge unity in L.A. town hall

On Thursday, leaders from prominent civil rights organizations and labor unions gathered with L.A. community members to discuss the economic and political issues being faced by Black and Latino communities in the U.S. — many of whom remain overworked, underpaid and under-protected. The main speakers at the event were Janet Murguía, president and CEO of the Latino civil rights advocacy group UnidosUS; Marc H. Morial, former New Orleans mayor and current president and CEO of the Black civil rights organization National Urban League; and David Huerta, the president of the California service workers unions SEIU-USWW and SEIU California. The trio spoke largely to a crowd of Latino and Black SEIU union workers — who donned T-shirts emblazoned with slogans calling for respect, safety and fair pay for service workers — and National Urban League members. (Ronaldo Bolaños / Los Angeles Times) Attendees chanted “Si se puede” and “When we fight, we win,” which originated from Dolores Huerta. Celebratory olé-style songs also broke out among the attendees, as they sipped on café de olla and snacked …
