Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell looked every inch the devoted couple as they stepped out together in Monaco to celebrate a major career milestone.
The longtime partners were among the star attractions at the Closing Ceremony of the 65th Monte-Carlo Television Festival, where Kurt was honoured with the prestigious Crystal Nymph Award for his outstanding contribution to television and film.
Appearing as loved-up as ever, Goldie, 80, and Kurt, 75, posed arm in arm on the blue carpet before joining Monaco’s royal family for the glittering event.
The couple were photographed alongside Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, who dazzled in a floor-length embellished gown, as the festival drew to a close.
For the special evening, Goldie looked effortlessly glamorous in a sparkling black trouser suit featuring white lapels and a sheer embellished neckline. Her signature blonde hair was styled in soft layers and she accessorised with glittering jewellery and metallic heels.
Kurt, meanwhile, looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo complete with a bow tie and his trademark silver locks swept back.
The pair could not stop smiling as they greeted guests and posed for photographs, with Goldie proudly supporting her partner as he accepted the coveted honour.
Goldie and Kurt have been together since Valentine’s Day 1983, and have an incredibly happy – and refreshingly normal – life away from the spotlight.
They share son Wyatt, 38, while Kurt is also dad to son Boston, 46, who he shares with ex-wife Season Hubley. Goldie shares older children Oliver, 49, and Kate, 46, with ex-husband Bill Hudson.
During an interview on The Dan Buettner Podcast, the Oscar-winning actress shared the key to the couple’s successful relationship. “I have a relationship with birds,” she said.
“I’m a bird. And you leave the cage door open, I may never fly out. But if you close that door, for my freedom and my independence, I would probably take all my feathers off.”
Meanwhile, back in 2015, Goldie appeared on Loose Women, where she was asked why she hadn’t married Kurt after all their years together.
She replied: “I would have been long divorced if I’d been married. Marriage is an interesting psychological thing. If you need to feel bound to someone, then it’s important to be married.
“If you have independence, if you have enough money and sense of independence and you like your independence, there’s something psychological about not being married because it gives you the freedom to make decisions one way or the other. “For me, I chose to stay. Kurt chose to stay, and we like the choice.”
