Bradley Johnson has reportedly been axed from Emmerdale, with the Vinny Dingle actor set to leave the soap after seven years. Johnson first joined the Emmerdale cast in 2019, upon the return of Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), and has had a number of big storylines across his time on the soap. The Sun has now reported that the cast are “shocked that bosses decided to axe him but it’s all part of the ITV cuts and they still need to trim back the cast”. One of Emmerdale‘s most beloved characters is to be killed off during an explosive stunt later this year. Jimmy King, who has been played by actor Nick Miles since February 2004, will meet his maker in a truly devastating moment for his on-screen family. Originally arriving alongside his dad and brothers, Jimmy has turned from brutal multi-millionaire businessman to a comedic family man over the last 22 years. Emmerdale favourite Bradley Riches has revealed his hopes for Kev Townsend’s return storyline and even teased the highly anticipated family reunion. Kev Townsend, played by Chris Coghill, entered Emmerdale back in September 2025 and played the role until his departure in January 2026.
