Man dies and 4 children injured after car hits building in UK town | UK | News


A man has died and four children have been injured after a car collided with a building in the West Midlands. The Honda Civic collided with a building on High Street in Princes End, Tipton on Tuesday evening (June 2), just before 10.20pm.

The driver of the Honda Civic, a 48-year-old man, died at the scene, West Midlands Police said.

There were five other occupants in the vehicle, the force also said, including a woman and four children, who were all taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The road was closed overnight and has now reopened.

A spokesperson for the police said: “Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is keen to hear from anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage from around the area, and anyone who saw the collision should get in touch with us.
