Josie Gibson is set to front a new ITV series this spring, where she will sneak into family homes, box up their unwanted items, and uncover their hidden value.
The programme, titled How To Clean Up For Cash, will see Gibson divert unsuspecting participants with a fake TV show while she and a team of experts spend 48 hours decluttering their properties and secretly valuing their possessions.
Upon returning to their tidied homes, participants will be presented with their boxed-up belongings and given the choice to either sell the items, which have been valued by Gibson and her crew, or keep them.
“How To Clean Up For Cash is a show with so much heart. It isn’t just about decluttering, it’s about bringing people together,” Gibson said.
“We’re on the ground, in homes across the country, showing viewers how much their everyday items might be worth.”
The 41-year-old who hails from Bristol, describes herself as a “car boot sale fanatic and passionate collector” and aims to help others clear out their clutter in the six-part series.
Produced by MultiStory Media and Vintage Cash Cow, the show will also feature antiques and collectables expert Dan Hatfield and decluttering specialist Jacqueline McLeod.

Gibson rose to prominence after winning the Channel 4 reality show Big Brother in 2010. She has since presented various programmes, including Around The World In First Class and Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide With Josie Gibson, and is a regular presenter on ITV’s This Morning. She also secured fourth place on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2023.
Gibson is reportedly being lined up as the first contestant on the next season of Strictly Come Dancing, which begins in September.
How To Clean Up For Cash is scheduled to launch on 13 April and will be broadcast across ITV1, STV, ITVX, and STV Player.
