Prince Harry’s’ change ahead of Prince Archie’s birth: ‘They made a quick exit!’

It’s no secret Prince Harry was quite the keen partier before he met and married his wife, Meghan Markle and welcomed two children with her, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

In his teenage years and early twenties, Prince William’s younger brother was snapped falling out of nightclubs while he enjoyed various wild, raucous nights on the town.

One of his local haunts was none other than celebrity favourite, Boujis, a South Kensington establishment frequented by Lindsay Lohan and Leonardo DiCaprio, which revellers in the early 2000s dubbed a “Studio 54 for aristocrats”.

Spinning the legendary club’s soundtrack, son of photographer Richard Young, who shot Princess Diana, Freddie Mercury and Kate Moss, DJ Sam Young, spied a twenty-something Harry making his way through the hallowed halls of Boujis on more than one occasion.

On a bank holiday in 2006, both sons of King Charles spent the night with Sam, dancing and losing themselves in songs such as Shakedown’s ‘At Night’.

“They came down to Boujis a few other times after that, and they’re all always friendly. Harry’s probably more of the jokester out of the two of them,” Sam exclusively told HELLO!

The professional DJ noted a change in the famous royal, however, when he saw him years later at a party with his now-wife, ex-Suits star Meghan.

Falling pregnant with their first son, Archie, now six, in 2019, the couple were spotted attending a soiree that Sam was DJing at, and it appeared the former party boy had massively changed his ways.

Sam revealed: “I’ve also done an event when Harry and Meghan Markle were there pregnant, but obviously they didn’t party – but they were there and made their own quick exit!”

Prince Harry’s big move

Following Meghan’s pregnancy announcement, the couple set up their new home at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, in preparation for their son’s arrival.

They welcomed baby Archie on 6 May 2019, and Buckingham Palace confirmed his arrival with a statement that read: “Prince Archie of Sussex was born at 05:26 on Monday 6th May. He is the first child of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and is seventh in line to the throne. Archie weighed 7lb 3oz and The Duke of Sussex was present for the birth.”

Shortly after his birth, Harry and Meghan revealed they would be stepping back from their royal duties and building a new life for themselves and their family in Montecito, California. They moved in March 2020, but only officially listed 29 June 2023, as their date of becoming US residents.

Their second child, Princess Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, was born on 4 June 4, 2021 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California.
