The Princess of Wales looked incredible on Saturday 13 June at Trooping the Colour 2026. Looking resplendent at one of the biggest royal events of the year, Kate wore a delightful new baby-blue coat dress by Catherine Walker with contrasting white piping. Pinned to her lapel was the Irish Guards Brooch.
As the sun shone and the atmosphere mounted, thousands of royal fans excitedly lined London’s streets to watch the procession.
Kate looked joyful as she waved excitedly at fans, gently herding her three children. The royal wore her hair in a charming updo style, topped with a pastel blue hat by Philip Treacy. Polished makeup highlighted her beautiful features, and she wore pearl earrings in the shape of flowers by Cassandra Goad.
The event has marked the monarch’s official birthday for over 260 years. Over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians take part in the display of military precision, horsemanship and fanfare.
The parade travels from Buckingham Palace down The Mall to Horse Guards Parade and closes with a Royal Air Force fly-past.
Kate’s best Trooping the Colour looks
In 2025, Kate donned a beautiful, sky-blue coat dress by Catherine Walker. Known as the ‘Bria’, the website described the style as a “deep aquamarine wool coat dress with ivory contrast lapels and cuffs.” The Princess wore her hair in a sophisticated updo, which was finished with a complementary floral hat.
2024 was a big Trooping the Colour moment for Kate – it was her first public appearance amidst her courageous battle with cancer. She donned a glorious white ensemble by Jenny Packham, which was adorned with a striped navy and white ribbon detail. Kate completed her sophisticated look with a Philip Treacy hat, featuring a wide brim and distinctive design. Accessorising to perfection, she added Cassandra Goad’s pearl earrings, a Mulberry ‘Bayswater’ Black Suede Clutch, and Jimmy Choo’s ‘Romy 85’ Optic White Leather Pumps.
Princess Kate looked gorgeous in 2023, rocking a rich apple-green dress by Andrew Gn featuring a rounded neckline, long sleeves and opulent crystal embellishment. A gold brooch was fastened to the tailored piece, providing a fresh, vibrant addition to her Trooping the Colour archive.
The 2022 Trooping the Colour parade for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee saw the Princess recycle a pristine Alexander McQueen coat dress from her personal collection.
She paired it with a wide-brimmed hat from royal milliner Philip Treacy, once again re-wearing the former Princess of Wales’ sapphire earrings.
